This is only how society perceives Goths to be like.
But of course, 你 are not meant to be something that does not fit to your ethical and moral beliefs (concerning the "badass destruction", I guess 你 mean "violent and criminal behaviour") 或者 your personality (regarding "being full of emotion").
Being goth is just clothes, music, books, etc. It's style, not personality. I'm a pretty happy person. I have a reasonable amount of friends. I'll be nice to anyone who's nice to me, as long as they don't do anything that pisses me off. I am totally goth, though (a bit of a goth/geek, I guess is what 你 would call me). :)
