Delighting her 20 million Instagram followers, the 30-year-old just posted a photograph of herself in the back of a taxi looking up towards the Brooklyn Bridge in New York City.

"Spotted," she captioned the post, in reference to the famous show.

The teen drama series – which ran from 2007 to 2012 – was narrated by a blogger known as \'Gossip Girl\', who often began with the term "spotted" before revealing titbits about a certain character or event.

"I miss gossip girl! Xoxo," wrote one fan.

Another suggested a new episode plotline, writing: "Spotted Serena van der Woodsen upset in the cab. Guess she wasn\'t that smart. Will B forgive her? XOXO."

Lively\'s post comes days after she poked fun at herself during NYFW, revealing her eldest daughter, James, is her biggest fashion critic.
