It's a heartbreaking thing, the end of summer. And yet, fall comes almost as a relief. As the air turns crisper and invigorating winds sweep across the land, we're happy to wave good-bye to our summer friends, the ones with whom we've engaged in superficial conversation for the past few months, and go back to our real friends, our city friends.
