The word Shakti means divine energy/force/power, and Durga is the warrior aspect of the Divine Mother/Brahman (Supreme Absolute Godhead).

She is mainly known in Gujarati folktales & is created when Parvati makes Ganesha. It is 说 that when Lord Shiva kills Ganesha, Ashok Sundari hides behind bags of salt because she is frightened 由 her father.
