Real performances, not songs that are meant to take place in someone's imagination or as after hours practice. I understand them whining about not getting attention. A glee club's not like a band, it's not meant to always be main singers with back up. That's why when you compare vocal adrenalin to new directions they didn't seem to have leads. They're a more realistic glee club. I hope Will seeing it annoyed 2 of them enough to need creative outlet elsewhere makes him rethink how often he overlooks the other glee kids, turn more of the songs into ensembles.
