"Glee" wrapped filming on the Fox series last week, and star Matthew Morrison (Will Schuester) shared details on how the show will come to an end.
"The final scene we shot was me singing a song to all the kids," he revealed to
on Thursday. "It was great because, you know, we could have ended on a big production number, but I think it was very intimate and just… tears were flowing. It was hard being in the room that day, but I think it was a great ending to the show."

In addition to the placard on Mr. Schue's desk, Matthew said he took home something he actually brought to the set himself – a dachshund figurine.
"It's something that my English teacher, who was my Mr. Schuster, had in his office when I grew up, so I wanted to bring something from my favorite teacher into my classroom," he said. "So it's been there for the past seven years, so I needed to give it back to him now."

Matthew wasn't the only star who wanted a keepsake to remember the six seasons he spent on "Glee."
Hollywood Live's Billy Bush and Kit Hoover that he was taking his character Artie Abrams' wheelchair from the set and Lea Michelle (Rachel Berry) Instagrammed a photo of herself carrying Finn Hudson's jersey off the soundstage.
Catch Matthew in his Broadway return in "Finding Neverland" with co-star Kelsey Grammer. Previews begin March 15 and opening night is April 15 in New York City.
"Glee" airs Fridays at 9/8c on Fox. The series' final two episodes will air back-to-back on March 20.
