Hello lovely Gleeks !
First of all, thank 你 for taking the time to read this, especially as many of 你 may not 爱情 Finn and Rachel as much as I do. This is basically my way of 展示 你 guys how much I adore them and hopeing that, after 你 read it, you'll consider voting me biggest finchel fan.

So why do I 爱情 this couple so freaking much that I've bothered 你 all with numerous 文章 about them? Well, to answer this I thought I'd take 你 through each of the seasons and highlight some of the defining moments and add in some of my favourite quotes

Season One,part one
Well, I've loved these two from the very first episode. The increadable singer and the cute and sweet footy player?whats not to like? I thought them 唱歌 "You're the one that I want" (they're first duet) was hilarious, but it was their interaction in "Don't Stop Believing" that got me hooked on the "hot male lead" and "stunning 你 engenue".Rachel also encourages him 由 saying that he shouldn't worry so much about what other people think because he was better than all of them. This is what I 爱情 about these two,we see a lot of Finn suppourting Rachel throughout the seasons and it often gets overlooked that she does the same for him. The constantly suppourt each other and push each other to be better.
In the 秒 episode, "showmance", there was some adorable moments between these two as they tried to deal with their feelings. Rachel wanted Finn to stay in the 欢乐合唱团 club so she could continue to, in her own words "have a connection" with him. Connection is the word, these two had a genuine one from the moment they met."Have 你 ever liked somebody so much 你 just wanna lock yourself in your room, turn on sad mysic and cry?". This is how much Finn meant to her already, even though she'd only just met him, they had a very strong affect on each other, which can be both a good and bad thing. When she saw him freaking out about having to perform in front of the whole school she tried to boost his confidence, first 由 helping him create posters for 欢乐合唱团 club to get new, 冷却器 recruits, and they got into trouble for using the copy machine. I was chuckling to myself when they were in Principal Figgens office and the dialouge was as follows
Sue: would 你 like to tell principal figgens and mr shuester what I caught 你 two doing?
Finn: it....it just sort've happened...
Rachel: I don't mean to be rude, but I think she's over reacting
Rachel then told him how talented she thought he was (which, coming from Rachel is a pretty big deal). After joining the celebicy club to find a common intrest per Emma's 建议 and discovering it was not to her liking, she and Finn met in the auditorium so Rachel could give him some 唱歌 lessons. Again, this is Rachel helping and encouraging him. We also see how much Finn has been affected 由 Rachel in this short 太空 of time, with him saying that when he heard him sing, it spoke to him and "touched somthing in him". This is the beggining of a long 列表 of scenes that 显示 how moved he is 由 Rachel and how this comes out when he watches her sing. Then, to my delight, it was time for their first kiss, with Rachel boldly commenting "You know, 你 can 吻乐队（Kiss） me if 你 want to..." "I want to". Although it ends with Finn breaking away quickly because of nerves (yes, Finn, lets call it nerves as opposed to teenage boy hormones :P) and leaving Rachel quite upset as he goes back to his role as football player dating the pretty blonde cheerleader, it was a monumental episode for my favourite 欢乐合唱团 couple

In "Acafellas", Finn refers to the kiss, asking her if she was angry at him because of how he left things. Rachel responds firmly that she has the guts to admit that what they had shared was real, which he was clearly unable to do. Despite this conflict, Finn gets defensive when Dakota Stanley insults Rachel and Rachel realises what Finn has been guiding her to all episode:that being different is their advantage, they didn't need a professional coreographer. This was Finn helping her see that some things are 更多 important than winning and that the 欢乐合唱团 club will work better unified and nurtured under Mr Shuster.

In "Rhodes Not Taken", Rachel has left the group because she does not feel she is being appreciated, and with Quinn pregnant, Finns focus is on getting a scholarship to suppourt Quinn and the baby. This leads to him flirting with Rachel to convince her to come back to 欢乐合唱团 club.Rachel obviously is delighted 由 this and 答案 his 问题 of "you know what we should do?" with "elope?". Although this was not the best moment and he should have been honest with her, it did create some great moments and 语录 such as "I don't see the point of staying some place that I'm not appreciated" "I appreciate you"and the bowling alley kiss. When an angry Rachel confronts him, he admits to it, explains his intentions and says that "that 吻乐队（Kiss） was real". This does not persuade Rachel and she returns to the musical, but decides that she cares about the people in the 欢乐合唱团 Club (particularly Finn) too much to let stardom get in the way of friendship. The "somebody to 爱情 performance" is filled with adorable looks and handholding between these two, which is why I 爱情 their performance interaction,they are extremley cute. Particularly when they sing together.


In "throwdown", Rachel attempts to stop JBI posting on his blog about Quinn being pregnant, both for Finn's sake and her own. Whatever her motives, she went to extremes to look out for him, even giving JBI a pair of her 内裤 to prevent the blog from being posted. Finns reaction: 你 really are awesome, I'm gonna make it up to 你 one day, I swear. He even tells Quinn "you know, sometimes I wish 你 were a little 更多 like Rachel. She cares about my feelings, she sticks up for me". Which is another example of these two constantly suppourting each other.They have a beautiful duet to "no air", which includings slow motion walking and handholding, much to a disapproving Quinns outrage. Rachel is upset when JBI posts the blog on Sue's orders, exclaiming "how could 你 do that? Do 你 have any idea how much pain 你 caused 由 running that story?". This leads to the club 唱歌 "keep holding on" to quinn, with some handholding and looks between Finn and Rachel, especially with the lyrics "here me when I say when I say I believe, that nothings gonna change gonna change destiny, whatevers meant to be will work out perfectly".

In "wheels" we again see them suppourt each other, with Finn urging her not to be nervous over the diva off with Kurt and stating that even though a lot of people didn't like her very much, he did.
Rachel: Thanks Finn, you're the only one who was willing to help me.....people just don't like me
Finn: Yeah, 你 might wanna work on that. I like you.
He also boosts her confidence just before the diva off, placing his hand on her shoulder and saying "I'm rooting for you". Rachel also helps Finn out 由 getting him a job so he and Quinn can pay for docters bills.

Then comes "hairography". After getting a makeover from Kurt, Rachel manages to attract Finn's attention even more, and invites him over to practice for the 欢乐合唱团 club. However, after dressing up as Sandy from Greece, Finn tells Rachel that the look isn't really her, and that he likes the way she usually dresses, the natural Rachel. This is one of many reasons why I 爱情 them together, Finn likes (and later loves) Rachel for exactly who she is and vice versa. After telling her "but I really like you, Rachel" and looking at her with 小狗 dog eyes, he leaves because of Quinn. They later share looks during the "true colours" number, again reinforcing the point that they see and like each other for exactly who they are.

In "mattress", its 照片 time at McKinley High, and after Rachel is elected captain, Finn is persuaded to take the yearbook picture with her, when Rachel pints out that his leadership and joy in the 欢乐合唱团 Club are a big reason why they got 更多 people to 加入 and why it works so well. They rehearse to "smile" 由 Lilly Allen and this is such a cute musical numer, with Rachel getting Finn to loosen up, and eventually ends with them tickleing each other and laughing.However Finn fails to 显示 up for the 照片 because he is still dealing with the stigma of being in 欢乐合唱团 Club. When I look back now, I see this as a sign that Finn at that point in time is still dealing with popularity issues which prevent him from dating Rachel, and also a foreshadowing of things to come.

Just before sectionals, Rachel realises that Finn is not the father of Quinn's baby, Puck is. Her motives were simple "if 你 care about someone, 你 can't see them suffer when 你 can do somthing about it". She could see how worried he was about Quinn and the baby and decided he needed to know the truth. Finn reacts 由 breaking up with Quinn and quitting the 欢乐合唱团 club. Rachel then apoligises to Quinn, admitting that she also had selfish reasons for telling him. When Finn shows up at sectionals, after he's finished giving the group a much needed pep talk, he refuses Puck's offer of friendship and ignores Quinn, walking straight to Rachel. After asking if he's ok, she focuses on the competition at hand with him urging her to shine. Itis not the easiest thing to do to distract Rachel once her head is in competition mode, which shows how much she cares about Finn, and Finn,knowing how talented she is, once again encourages her despite his own issues.

I hope you've enjoyed part one!
