It was recently revealed that Girls\' Generation\'s Taeyeon was chosen as the female idol with the best vocals on a poll conducted by mobile app Wefans.

\'Idol Vocal\' award was completely determined by users of the Wefans app. Users voted among talented female idol vocalists Taeyeon, A Pink\'s Eunji, 2NE1\'s Park Bom, SISTAR\'s Hyorin, Girl\'s Day\'s Minah, f(x)\'s Luna, 4minute\'s Gayoon, SECRET\'s Ji Eun, KARA\'s Gyuri, and After School\'s Raina. In the end, Taeyeon won first place, Eunji placed second, and Park Bom was third.

Currently, Wefans voters have the opportunity to win a ticket to the

\'Golden Disk Awards\' ceremony by voting for three categories: album, digital song, and rookie of the year.

Congrats to Taeyeon for being crowned the best female vocalist among Wefans users!

Im going to presume you\'ve never heard Taeyeon sing before.

Taeyeon has this voice that evokes Strength and EMOTIONS -i love how when she sings high notes , she still delivers them with Emotions ♥ .Having a larger vocal range is impressive, but that doesn\'t necessarily make you a better singer.

I love Eunji\'s , hyorin\'s , Jieun\'s ,and luna\'s voices -they are AWESOME .

Can\'t help but think that title is there just to encourage fan wars, so I wont indulge.

I swear this is more like a popularity award

eww park bom a great vocalist ? are u kidding me ? minzy is way better at singing than bom she can\'t even control her voice ahahhaha ! ps fucked up everything for her

Ailee is a soloist. Park Bom honestly isnt that great of a vocalist. All she has is a "unique voice". And Hyorin....idk, Everyone has their own opinion. Just because Taeyeon is popular doesnt mean she only won because of that. She is an amazing singer.

Her technique may be extremely unique and not as sharp as othe but Bom is the one that has *the most power/most emotion/remembered for uniqueness the most.* That\'s why she is the *Lead Vocalist.* End of. She deserves her place.

About PARK BOM. A good vocalist needs to be unique, have a good range, be powerful, and have good technique as well as being remembered. She has all of them she only lacks slightly in the technique department. But that doesn\'t mean her technique is shit. And before you airheads start hating. No it is not damaging her vocal chords like crazy. Her voice now is way better live than it was years ago. Look at their tour.

a vocalist is someone who has complete control, manipulation and authority over their voice, similar to an instrumentalist. They are judged by vocal technique and consistency. Singers are people who use their voice to deliver a message musically and convey emotions, partly judged by technique but mostly subjectively judged by musicianship, musical and vocal creativity and vocal delivery. This is a vocal award.

@skatpree all the factors that I stated lead to vocal delivery so yes I understood that much.

I definitely agree! the only person who has a better voice than taeyeon to me would be ailee

I also like the voice of SHANNON (Williams) who just did her debut. No way was she going to even be listed for this contest. But her debut was quite impressive (my view).

Congrats Taeyeon! she does have an amazing voice! I love hers and APink\'s Eunji! but they all do have great voices!

Not that I'm really surprised, it's Allkpop. Not to be rude or anything, but Park Bom? I get that her voice is super unique and nobody can ever sound like her, but I thought people would prefer Hyorin, Luna, Minah... even Minzy could've easily beaten her in terms of voice in my honest opinion.
