Game of Thrones will be returning to Iceland to film its newest season, as the 显示 has done the last few years. However when HBO’s film crew turns up, it’ll be without the actors of GoT, and for a much briefer stay.

The only other country confirmed for season six so far is Northern Ireland, where the show’s production is based. Shooting begins in July.

Filming has resumed and we’re already hearing reports of shooting on location in Northern Ireland, beyond the walls of the studio. Local 粉丝 have encountered Game of Thrones’ production crews in a familiar place over the past day.

We have confirmation this week that Game of Thrones has returned to Shane’s 城堡 in County Antrim, Northern Ireland, for season 6 filming.

While Game of Thrones location filming in Spain is being shifted around, location shooting continues back in the scenic areas of Northern Ireland for season 7. The ubiquitous 粉, 粉色 “GOT” signs indicating filming have been spotted once again.

While shooting a scene in which the ruthless former Hand of the King lies in state, actors Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Lena Headey—who play his incestuous twin offspring, Jaime and Cersei—are having trouble suppressing giggles.
