^Exactly. Ned was a great father and an honorable man, but he was kind of a dumbass when it came to handling anything else.

I like Jaime. He seems to have a lot of hidden complexities behind that douchebag exterior. Also, he still has a head.

I like Jaime more. Eddard was quite boring if it's about that. ;)

I don't see the honour in provoking then trying to make nice with a hungry, ruthless lion when you & your daughters are right in the middle of it's den; instead of getting the f*** out of dodge. One gets eaten in such situations.

I am a big fan of intelligence and survival instincts. Is Jaime honourable? That's debatable. Screwing his sister - definitely not. Pushing a child to his (intended) death - no. Breaking your vows to save an entire kingdom from an insane, murderous ruler - I say definitely but Ned would disagree. It's subjective.

@Backtoblack, I've not read the books, but from what I heard about his character in discussions, he actually is quite honorable in some situations, while being simultaneously deplorable in others. That was one of the main points of that scene between the king, Ser Barristan, and Jaime, when Robert asked him about the Mad Kings final words and Jaime replied; "He said the same thing he'd been saying for hours. Burn them all." meaning he didn't do it out of selfishness, but a need to step in and assert power over a very bad situation.

He's also extremely loyal to his family, and not just the ones he's sleeping with (lol) either. Look what he did to Ned and his entourage when Catelyn took Tyrion.

I love Jaime :) At first I took a dislike to him because of how he pushed Bran out of the window, but now I understand him more.

Before it was Ned now it's definitely Jaime
