I sometimes think the TV writers reduce many of the characters' complex personalities to be one-dimensional stereotypes just to satisfy the TV audiences: e.g: people like funny Tyrion, so they make him the star of the show and cracking jokes 24/7, people like "strong female characters" so they erase any flaws characters like Margery, Dany and Arya have to turn them into "kickass" girls who fight and go around saying "empowering" speeches. People don't like Stannis and Melisandre, so they reduce any good aspects the characters originally had in the books and basically turn them into monsters.

I couldn't agree more.
