Is Jon Snow dead in The Winds Of Winter? Game Of Thrones star Kit Harington thinks he might be…
Fans of George RR Martin’s A Song Of Ice And Fire series have been hankering for a release date for Winds Of Winter for some time now, especially given the cliffhanger ending of A Dance Of Dragons in 2011.
That book ended with Jon Snow seemingly bleeding to death after being repeatedly stabbed by members of the Night’s Watch, but fans have refused to believe he really is dead.

Martin himself has fuelled rumours Snow somehow survives. When asked why he killed off the character, he told Entertainment Weekly: ‘Oh, you think he’s dead, do you?’
But Kit Harington, who plays Jon in the television series, only added to the mystery when speaking to Metro.co.uk.
Kit Harington admits he ‘screwed himself over’ with Game Of Thrones hair
When asked if he was looking forward to finding out what happens to his character, he told us: ‘Yeah I guess. Yeah. I can’t tell you what happens in the series, in the books I know roughly what happens.
‘I couldn’t tell you if I’m even involved in Winds Of Winter.’

With the series set to overtake the books, and George RR Martin stating that people will die on-screen who are still alive in the novels, it’s not unreasonable to wonder if one of the few remaining members of Stark clan will meet their maker this season.
Why Kit Harington’s new hair doesn’t prove Jon Snow dies in season five
Harington fuelled speculation that Snow would die after appearing at the Testament Of Youth premiere with noticeably shorter hair, although we weren’t fully convinced.
While we’re very much hoping Jon will still be alive and kicking by the end of season 5, we’ll have to just wait and see.
