It's also fun to see several of my spots called out as "having only one fan": hee-hee! (edit: normally I wouldn't call them 'my spots', but as I was both creator and only fan at the time, it's a bit more appropriate)

Not to be a party-pooper, kate, but the article feature was launched in November 2006, more than half a year before you joined the site. You're right, though: by June 2007, there were many spots that had more than 1000 fans. By then, the top spots list looked much more like it does today, with TV shows occupying almost all of the "most fans" list.
