Recently 潮流粉丝俱乐部 introduced a new feature to our 个人资料 pages:

The Showcase!

Eventhough it’s not a very complicated feature, there seem to be quite a few 问题 surrounding the caps. This gave me the idea of 写作 this article, answering the most aksed questions. Let me first say that everything I write is based on how I think this new feature works. I’m not one of the fabulous F4, so please correct me if I’m wrong about something.

1. What is the Showcase?
This 问题 was answerd 由 F4 Dave: “The new showcase is for your 潮流粉丝俱乐部 bottlecap collection that will continue to grow with new and exciting 锦标 based on your participation and activity across the site.” In other words, the Showcase is the place on your 个人资料 page where all your 锦标 are presented.

2. What are Caps?
锦标 are rewards that can be earned in different ways (that I’ll explain later). Consider them prices for various things 你 do on Fanpop. They have no further purpose, it’s just fun to get them.

3. How do I get Caps?
That depends on the kind of cap. The system for getting them is automated (like the medals) so whenever 你 deserve to get one, 你 will. Some can be earned 由 doing specific things, others are 给 randomly.

4. What different kinds of 锦标 are there?
So far there are 5 different types of Caps. I’ll explain every type and how to get them here:

4a. 潮流粉丝俱乐部 Firsts
There are 5 锦标 to earn in this category so far:
1. Fanpup: “Welcome to Fanpop! You’ve earned this adorable 小狗 for joining the 潮流粉丝俱乐部 family. We’re glad to have 你 here!” This 帽 is earned when 你 加入 Fanpop, therefore every Fanpopper has this cap.
2. Picture Perfect: “Now don’t 你 look sharp in that 个人资料 picture 你 just uploaded? 或者 is that a picture of your dog? Either way, well done.” This 帽 is earned when 你 上传 a 个人资料 picture.
3. Speak your mind: “You added a 格言 to your profile. Good for 你 for speaking up for yourself.” This 帽 can be earned 由 adding a 格言 to your 个人资料 page.
4. Wall: “Writing on someone's 墙 on 潮流粉丝俱乐部 is not really vandalism, we approve of your graffiti here.” This 帽 can be earned 由 写作 something on somebody’s wall.
5. Facebook: “ Thanks for 脸谱 Connecting us! 你 really "like" us! Don't worry, we won't spam your News Feed.” This 帽 can be earned when 你 connect your 潮流粉丝俱乐部 account to your 脸谱 account, and like the 潮流粉丝俱乐部 page on Facebook.



4b. Frequent Flier
There are 5 锦标 to earn in this category so far:
1. Tourist: “ You've visited 潮流粉丝俱乐部 5 days in a row! You're just starting to fly.” This 帽 can be earned 由 visiting 潮流粉丝俱乐部 5 days in a row.
2. Sightseer: “You've visited 潮流粉丝俱乐部 10 days in a row! Let's get 你 in a real plane.” This 帽 can be earned 由 visiting 潮流粉丝俱乐部 10 days in a row.
3. Traveler: “Wow! You've visited 潮流粉丝俱乐部 20 days in a row. 你 must like us! Time to upgrade that old thing with a private jet.” This 帽 can be earned 由 visiting 潮流粉丝俱乐部 20 days in a row.
4. Jetsetter: "Holy cow! You've come to 潮流粉丝俱乐部 50 days in a row! You're totally addicted. Time for a jumbo jet for 你 and all your fans." This 帽 can be earned 由 visiting 潮流粉丝俱乐部 50 days in a row.
5. Globetrotter: "Visit 潮流粉丝俱乐部 100 days in a row." This 帽 can be earned 由 visiting 潮流粉丝俱乐部 100 days in a row.



4c. Holidays
There are 6 锦标 to earn in this category so far:
1. Valentine's 日 2011: “Will 你 be our Valentine?” This 帽 was earned 由 everyone who visited 潮流粉丝俱乐部 on Februari 14th 2010, Valentine’s Day.
2. St. Patrick's 日 2011: "May the luck of the Irish be with 你 today!" This 帽 was earned 由 everyone who visited 潮流粉丝俱乐部 on March 17th 2011, St. Patrick's Day.
3. April Fool's 日 2011: "Stay on your toes today!" This 帽 was earned 由 everyone who visited 潮流粉丝俱乐部 on April 1st 2011, April Fool's Day.
4. Earth 日 2011: "We've only got one, let's cherish it." This 帽 was earned 由 everyone who visited 潮流粉丝俱乐部 on April 22nd 2011, Earth 日 2011.
5. Easter 2011: "Time to go find those eggs!" This 帽 was earned 由 everyone who visited 潮流粉丝俱乐部 on April 24th, Easter 2011.
6. Happy Birthday 2011: "It's your birthday! We're honored that 你 chose to spend part of it with us so here's to you!" This 帽 can be earned 由 visiting 潮流粉丝俱乐部 on the 日 你 registered as your birthday in 你 account. This 锦标 was introduced in April, so birthdays before that were not rewarded with this cap.



4d. Good Luck Charms
There are 7 锦标 to earn in this category so far:
1.Gold Coin: “There's luck on both sides of this coin!”
2.Wishbone: “May it break your way!”
3.Ladybug: “Looks like ladybug luck is on your side!”
4.Rainbow: “What's at the end of it?”
5.Shooting Star: “When 你 wish upon a star...”
6. Pot of Gold: "Enjoy this pot of 金牌 before the Leprechaun realizes it's missing!"
7. Horseshoe: "Point the ends up!"
All the 锦标 is this category are 给 randomly. There is nothing 你 can do to earn them. Just spend time on Fanpop, and 你 might just be rewarded with one of these.



4e. Experience
There are 5 锦标 to earn in this category so far:
1. Novice: “You've been a member of 潮流粉丝俱乐部 for a month! You'll be a pro in no time!” This 帽 can be earned 由 being a member of 潮流粉丝俱乐部 for one month.
2. Learner: “You've been a Fanpopper for a 年 now! Time to ride with the big boys!” This 帽 can be earned 由 being a member of 潮流粉丝俱乐部 for one year.
3. Veteran: “It's been 2 years since you've joined Fanpop! No 更多 bikes for you, you're cruising now.” This 帽 can be earned 由 being a member of 潮流粉丝俱乐部 for two years.
4. Expert: “Three whole years as a Fanpopper! 你 are clearly ready for your license to Fanpop.” This 帽 can be earned 由 being a member of 潮流粉丝俱乐部 for three years.
5. Master: “Can 你 believe 你 joined 潮流粉丝俱乐部 four years ago?! Here's a bigger ride for 你 and all your 粉丝 to cruise the site in.” This 帽 can be earned 由 being a member of 潮流粉丝俱乐部 for four years.
