Hello Fanpoppers. 由 now 你 may have noticed a nifty new feature was rolled out this afternoon. It's the 潮流粉丝俱乐部 Pop Quiz, a way to test your knowledge of all sorts of arcane trivia from movies, to 音乐 to hamsters.

Before diving into the details of the game, I want to send out a hearty THANKS to the 潮流粉丝俱乐部 team. In particular, a big 支持 to link who put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into this feature.

I'd also like to thank all the great beta testers who helped us test and refine the feature for the past month. Finally, a thank 你 to link - the site that provided the nifty default 图标 sets for the spot pop 测验 and superquiz.

Now onto the nitty-gritty...the specifics about the quiz.

Playing the Quiz

你 can play the 测试 in one of two ways.

1) The Super Quiz

link is the ultimate test of fanpopper knowledge. Superquiz pulls 问题 from the full spectrum of topics on the site. Each 问题 will tell 你 what topic and channel it's about. Just start answering 问题 to start racking up points and winning virtual prizes. If 你 run across a 问题 你 don't want to answer, 你 can simply click the "skip this question" link to get a new question.

你 can also use the filter in the right column of the superquiz ("show 问题 for") to only display 问题 from a specific channel (e.g. movies) 或者 to only display 问题 from subjects 你 are subscribed to.

A small module on the lower right side of the page will display your superquiz progress (how many points you've scored, how many 问题 asked and what your current prize is).

2) Individual Pop Quizzes

If 你 want zero in on a specific topic, we also feature pop 测验 for each 粉丝 club (spot). So for instance, if 你 wanted to play The Office Pop Quiz, just go to The Office 粉丝 Club and click the "quizzes" link below the spot banner (there is also a module on the right side of each 粉丝 club homepage that will allow 你 to start playing).

Spot-specific 测验 have their own leaderboards and prize sets (see the small module in the lower right column of the spot 测试 pages).

Making 测试 Questions

To make a 测试 问题 你 will need to go to the 粉丝 Club's 测试 and click the "add a question" link 或者 button.

When creating a 问题 你 must:
* Ask a question
* Enter at least 2 possible answers
* Select the correct answer

Optionally 你 may:
* Add an image
* Embed a video
* Add 图片 for each of the possible answers
* Add some short trivia about the question

你 have some limited editing capabilities once 你 发布 a question, but it's best to make sure that 你 have spelled everything correctly and have made the 问题 and answer factually correct before posting.

Additionally, here are some other tips for making good questions:
* Play the 测试 in the 粉丝 club before posting new questions. This way 你 can avoid making duplicate questions.
* Avoid subjective 问题 (e.g "Who do 你 like better?). Subjective 问题 should be 发布 as picks.
* Avoid 问题 that are time-specific 或者 can be rendered incorrect 由 events in the future. For instance: "What's the highest grossing British film of all-time?". A better 问题 is "As of 2007, what's the highest grossing British film of all-time?". For TV shows that are still airing, a 问题 like "How many seasons of One 树 Hill"? is also a bad idea (until the 显示 has concluded).
* Avoid vague questions: "Who did John 吻乐队（Kiss） on tonight's episode?" is ambiguous if John kisses someone in every episode. A better 问题 would be "Who did John 吻乐队（Kiss） in the season 3 episode, 'The Hunted'"?

Reporting Quizzes

If 你 see an inaccurate, inappropriate 或者 badly worded 测试 question, 你 can flag it 或者 contact the 潮流粉丝俱乐部 team.

测试 creators do have limited ability to modify their 问题 after they are made, however we have curtailed these options in order to prevent any abuse.

Note that in some instances, the 潮流粉丝俱乐部 team will need to 删除 问题 in order to be fair to the people participating in the game. If this happens, feel free to repost a corrected version of the question.

Leaderboard & Prizes

As 你 gain points 由 playing the quiz, 你 will notice that 你 gain new "prizes". link

We have also made some "custom" prize sets for certain pop 测验 (should be out shortly) :-)
