I was kinda wondering. Is it 安全 to write your real name on your 个人资料 page?

How could it not be safe?
None would photoshop your name 或者 could chase 你 with it 或者 doing whatever.
你 just don't have to 显示 anyone 你 really don't know your pics, 或者 if they asked 你 for a meeting.'cause maybe that person (questioner) is a killer 或者 thief 或者 rapist (if he was a guy), And many stuff.
But I don't think that 写作 或者 telling your real name to anyone isn't safe. :)

I don't think there is anything dangerous about putting your name on your 个人资料 page. Unless 你 put your first, last, and middle name, accompanied 由 exactly where 你 live ._.
But if all 你 have is your first and last name and (for example) if 你 live in a state like Missouri, no one is going to be able to track 你 down from that. There are millions of people in the world, 你 know?

I think its fine to write your first name, people can't get that much information using only that, but I would be extremely hesitant in including my last name on my 个人资料 though. However, if 你 link to your 脸谱 page in the external websites portion, people are going to know who 你 are if you've been using your full name (which a lot do so that family and 老友记 can find them) there.

And FYI, hackers can only "hack" someone if you've 给 out all your details (full name, location, zip code, address, ect) they CANNOT track someone 由 name alone. This is because for any one full name, there can be multiple people non-related who share it-possibly on the other side of the globe, so unless your named 'Starfire hotpants horseshoe McHammock' there is a pretty good chance your not the only one with that name. The horror stories 你 do hear about people getting "hacked" are usually victims of a fake contest/survey/subscription scam, where they needed to give their full information out to reclaim a prize that they think they've won.

Just put your first name, in my opinion. I've found 更多 pervs and loons on 脸谱 than on Fanpop. If you're worried about putting it here, definently don't make a Facebook. That has way 更多 info about 你 on there and there are tons 更多 people. That means 更多 perverts, pedofiles, loons, crazies, jailbirds, rapists, criminals, theives, and horny bastards on Facebook.

Why would you? If 你 want your 老友记 to know it's really you, just tell them. I don't think adding 你 complete name has any additional value here on Fanpop. Just your first name is enough.

Also, if your applying for a job nowadays, you'll always be 'googled'. I'm not sure if 你 want your future employers to think 你 spend all your hours on Fanpop.

I don't like sharing even my FIRST name anywhere online cos people from school might be on here and see my account and what i like and do. its nothing bad but i dont like people from school to know a lot of stuff about me. and then my parents might see me too and figure who my crush is and soo on and its embarrassing.

It depends on what other information 你 give. Nobody can find 你 with your first name alone. If 你 say what city 你 live in, what school 你 went to, your birthday, and 显示 your picture too, someone can find 你 if 你 want to.

For identity theft issues, it can be. You'll never know who visits your page and is copying your info down right now. Your first name only can be fine though.
