Other than that people are usually friendly.
lloyd, you have added
6 links (in the past 23 days.. you have been here a year)
9 videos
14 images....etc
and you have rated 13 items (shame on you!;))....
i am not pointing all of this oot to criticize you (i dont contribute a huge amount but heck i aint complaining) but how can you have fans if no one knows you?
then again if that spot was made to keeps friend requests, constant repeat picks, chat with me requests, picks posted as quizzes and vice versa, txtspk etc off the users spot..why not!?
then all the fangirls can squee there and write OMG THANX 4 ADDNG ME U ROCK SO MUCH OMG BELLA AND EDWARD in their prop messages, make a pick a day asking**-** WHO IS CUTER!!???*^^*,decorate all ^^ comments*-* like*^* this*** and we can coexist in peace
and what does 3l1t3s mean?
n00b i am guessing is new user?
what happens to this spot when the people on it get more fans....then it just becomes the fanpop users spot lol
I'm not trying to be nasty or bite your head off i'm just stating what i see, it wasn't said with a nasty tone
and what does 3l1t3s mean?

I think that 3l1t3 means "Elite" and you're right about Noob.
and quod erat demonstrandum :P
Is it latin?
As far as snappy fanpoppians go I haven't really run into more than maybe two, mostly fanpoppians are very helpful and sweet. Sure you will find a bad apple here and there but on a whole we are a very open minded and friendly community as long as you avoid the things KnifeWrench spoke about.
and by the way youve been here longer than me :)
lol
and arabellaelfie your fabby :D
i have explained a couple of things like my last comment just for your own information, not to be patronising, patronising would be telling you something you already know
yet everything you say back to me seems to be implying that anyone known or popular on here is bitchy as hell or comments pointed at me that i'm dozy, dumb or your latest one that i'm patronising
the point is this spot separates the fanpop user community and i thought that was the opposite of what you wanted?
people can't help their opinions or how many fans they have so stop making pointed comments at those you resent
I would edit it but I can no longer stay silent on the evil twin-ness. ;F
I wonder, would you yield the floor to a humble diplomat?
On behalf of users like debs and germany, I'd just like to point out that Fanpop is growing crowded. They tried to politely voice their concerns that this may be superfluous. But as I've come to learn via the debate over spots for singular users, if there is a fan base, then I suppose there ought to be a spot. The line between necessity and superfluity is a thin one, though. Don't take it personally if a user questions the value of a spot you made. They're just looking out for the best interests of Fanpop as a whole, and we all want what's best for Fanpop.
On behalf of lloyd and users like him: I understand that the Fanpop Users spot can be a scary place for new users, who are unfamiliar with the old users who know each other fairly well. Some are confident enough to just leap in, join discussions, and become well-known that way, but some find the whole thing rather intimidating. What with all the lectures on the consequences of not crediting/key-wording images, some users might be timid about contributing.
Let me tell you, new users, quiet users, and undercover stalking users: We (at least, I) love new faces. I get excited when someone I don't know comments on a pick I made, or especially when someone participates in a debate over at the debate spot and adds a new perspective. There are plenty of ways to jump into the social pool of Fanpop, you just have to muster a little bit of courage. But you can't expect to have a lot of fans if you don't make yourself known.
In my opinion, the Unknown Users Spot is kind of like the wading pool for new users to get used to the features on the site and meet fellow timid users. In this spot, they can practice making picks, adding images, and creating quiz questions if they aren't quite sure how. Then, maybe they'll have enough confidence with the site in order to participate in more things on this spot.
In short: Fanpop is a friendly place. Old users are experienced and want to help. They mean well, really, and they are honest and voice concerns with respect. So don't look at it as a personal attack. We try to be welcoming. It makes me sad when I think of all the fans who don't believe we are. If you want a friendly ear, you have permission to message me or anyone of the link privately.
Dalz agrees.
