*Fanpoppers: Earn Your Fans ~ Don't Bribe For Them!
G'day awesome Fanpoppers!
This can either be considered as a rambling rant 或者 as something of concern 由 a fellow Fanpopper. Over the last few days I have noticed that so many 问题 asked in the 答案 feature is in relation to users trying to increase their fanlist. I have come across at least half a dozen 问题 in various spots where users are asking other users to 粉丝 them and promising to reward them with props.
To me that just is not the appropriate way to increase one's fanlist. Your fans, just like your props, should be earned!
What bothers me is just how many people are requesting this and the fact that they are not new users to the site. If 你 have been a member of 潮流粉丝俱乐部 for 4 或者 6 months then 你 are NOT a new user and should really know better.
I'm certain that the majority of Fanpoppers also feel that this is not the correct way to go about increasing a user's fanlist.
At the time of 写作 this piece, I have 680 fans. I have not bribed one single user into fanning me. I also have never propped anyone for doing so and do not expect that any user 支持 me for fanning them either.
How I 粉丝 a user is 由 checking their 个人资料 and seeing what spots we have in common. I admit that I also tend to 粉丝 some of the "oldies" like me,LOL,as there is not too many around compared to the younger users. Also I usually tend to 粉丝 an Aussie user when I stumble across one. After all, there is only about 5% of Australians on this site so I like to support my fellow Aussie mates. Still there has to be some commonality!
I have reported various of these user request 问题 as bad 问题 and 评论 on some. Yesterday one of the users told me that if I had nothing good to say then to just say nothing at all. I was not trying to be negative nor put the user down, I was merely attempting to explain the right way to get fans.
Personally, I have nothing against holiday 或者 birthday 支持 and have even been known to multi 支持 some users for silly reasons BUT I do think it is wrong to bribe users into becoming fans.
With nearly 700 粉丝 under my belt, am I any 更多 liked 或者 better off than the user that has only 80 fans? No! At the risk of sounding ungrateful and pompous, the number of 粉丝 I have has absolutely no credibility on the kind of user I am. There are so many users that I may not even 交叉, 十字架 paths with on any spot for months 或者 have no idea what my contributions to the site are.
Also guys, have some dignity. Do 你 really want an extra 30 粉丝 on your fanlist because in return 你 gave them 15 props? I would think not, there's no satisfaction in that.
Some of these users that I have seen "begging" for fans, when I have checked their profiles I would have gladly fanned them. However, the fact that they were bribing for 粉丝 was a total turn-off for me.
If I 粉丝 a user it's because I want to do so NOT because my 支持 墙 will be rewarded with countless 支持 for it. This particular strategy of bribing for 粉丝 will certainly never work with me.
Come on,guys, contribute to the site and be active and 你 WILL have fans. But 你 will have 粉丝 for the right reason and not because 你 are offering a reward in return!

嘿 Fanpoppers!

I know I'm still a rookie at this interview thing, but I'm starting to get the hang of it (I think) and to be honest I'm also developing a taste for asking a lot of questions. Muahahaha!..ahem..anyway..

She's a great individual, with interesting ideas, strong beliefs and she's very funny too. She has a way with words that lets her express her opinions very clearly and she's constantly mediating when some situations get out of hand; I'm sure a lot of 你 have seen it around Fanpop. She's a joy to talk to and most definitely made of awesome.

Anyway, she took some time out from her...

This 文章 is the first of a series, and was most recently updated on 6 March 2008.

I'd been planning on profiling the various people who'd been selected 由 the 潮流粉丝俱乐部 users as "Fans of the Fortnight" for months, but it was only after link that I took any time to do so. I started my initial inquiries back in January, followed 由 fact-checking and quote-gathering from other users. The problem was, I figured that news travels fast in the 潮流粉丝俱乐部 world, and I didn't want any recipients feeling slighted that I hadn't asked them for an interview...so I interviewed them all at once. What resulted...

She was just a girl of fifteen, but she had long 以前 迷失 that naivety and innocence of girls her age. While her dearest chums spent their days thinking about clothes and their latest crush, she spent her days doing something much differently. She couldn’t tell her 老友记 about it though, they wouldn’t understand. They would criticize and call her horrible names. They’d never accept what she had become. She was completely alone in her secret desires, alone except for the strangers she let into her life each day. It was her need for the approval of those strangers that had caused her...

The vehicle involved in the crash (Right) 15 Year Old Samantha Callow (Left)
I decided to write this soapbox for the family of Samantha Callow.

She's a 15 年 old girl, which died early Friday morning. Around 3:00 am, this morning while driving her parents car. Her parents didn't know that she had the car.

Who knew that what seemed to be a joyride turned into a deathful situation.

I would like to deticate the sopabox 文章 to the family. And expecially her brother Tom Callow. I knew him really well and He goes to my school. When I heard the terrible news.. I noticed what he was going through today. Just this morning another thing happened.

But this time it happened...
