to deathnote- you need to register/sign up to deviant art and when you get accepted, you can submit your drawings by uploading them on the computer via your USB stick for example, filling out a few details and bob's your uncle, you're done! it is free to register and plus, it is a great way of getting your work published online and for other people to see it.
I'm a member of DA, and I absolutely love it.
I like to show my art work, well, just the one I actually like, but just the feeling of knowing that people like and appreciate your art is wonderful.
I'm on DA, MangaBullet, Artician.com and a few others. My goal is someday be able to post on sites where the big guys are at. You know, CGTalk, ConceptArt.org. Got a long way before I can swim with the sharks though.
I used to be quite active on deviantART many years ago, but when I started sharing links to my account to people I knew in real life I couldn't take the attention and just kinda stopped. I keep my online life separate from real life now, and I still share my art on websites that I don't talk about to people I really know.
