I think this season's exploration of a House that wants to get better, wants to fight his addiction and wants to try to be a better person is very interesting. It was a good move on the writers' part.

But I eventually want gim to go back on vicodin. It is part of his miserable and lonely nature, which is one of the reasons why he is such a relatable character for the viewers. He is a firm believer that 'people don't change' and I think his character should be the first one to honor that statement.

It would be a major fail to end the show with a House who is happy and well. This is not a happy show, I want a House I can relate to till the very end.

What do you guys think? Do you want a happy/healthy House or a miserable/destructive House?

I think it would be okay for him to go back to taking Vicodin if it's not like an addiction again. I do think that he needs to take something stronger than the Ibuprofen to numb the pain, but he shouldn't go back to the addiction in my opinion.

House wouldn't be House without somehow being miserable, so I don't want him to be all sunshine and puppies, but it's nice to see him a little better. Also, I think it's a good development for the character because although he tried to get better and be a better person this season, he still only gets a tiny little bit of what he wanted - it's like in real life.

...I don't understand it. Why would you want him to go back to taking Vicodin when he's hardly changed? He's not sunshine and rainbows, he's just not addicted anymore and maybe a bit happier. What's wrong with him giving up the drug?

^ Oh he has changed alright. He's definitely no sunshine and he's still very interesting. But this is not a happy show, House ending up well and happier would be a total failure of the show.

I think it depends on how he and Cuddy evolve in season 7, seeing those pix have got me stoked, I can't sleep sometimes...so, it's all on Cuddy and the relationship, but Bery has a good point, if I couldn't of added another answer I would of picked Yes, he probably will because he just can't be happy. He might be the one ewho leaves Cuddy and leads himself to self destruction.

This argument can go many ways and on forever, GREAT PICK!

Don't let him be happy, make him miserable, the man is lost without some kind of addiction! Kill Cuddy, give him another Hector, whatever. :)

Seriously, there are some scenes of wounded House playing the piano. I fell in love with that character.
Here.
Now you know my darkest secret.
Yeah, and kill Cuddy.
