I remember visiting this website once...
It was called Double Dragon Dojo
Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
The Double Dragon Dojo is an independently run website that covers all aspects of the video game series
Double Dragon, as well as products and media related to the series. The Dojo is supported by a team of dedicated staff members who rely heavily upon contributions from fans of the series. We offer continuing coverage of the games and their spin-offs, as well as provide a nearly complete database of information. Submissions are welcome at all times and are subject to editing and verification.
Hi folks. I\'m sorry for the 3-year absence from the site. I\'ve been running this site since I was 16, and now I\'m quite a bit older. Life sure gets in the way of things. Also, with all of the so-called "social media" nowadays, it seems like these old fan sites are a dying breed. But enough of that.
Arc System Works apparently acquired the Double Dragon license and they announced something rather big on their Youtube channel: Double Dragon 4.
Now, I have mixed thoughts about this. On the one hand, I\'m excited to see an actual Double Dragon 4 being released after all these years instead of yet another remake (previously, Super Double Dragon essentially constituted Double Dragon 4 based on the release of Double Dragon V in 1994).
On the other hand, I\'m a little disappointed by the development team simply reusing the Double Dragon II NES sprites. I think they could have and should have put more work into that. Right now the game looks more like a rom hack than a true Double Dragon III sequel. But the good news is that it\'s apparently being directed by the Double Dragon series creator, Yoshihisa Kishimoto, which means that the quality should be there. So I\'m sure it will still be fun. But I feel that Double Dragon 4 deserved a bit more effort, similar to Contra 4.
The game is going to be released on January 30, 2017 for PS4 and Steam. I\'m really hoping that Arc System Works will do a release for Nintendo systems (3DS? Switch?), and let\'s not leave out those Xbox gamers either. So if you\'re reading this, Arc System Works, give me a Nintendo (and Xbox) release.
In other news, I have a way overdue update to the merchandise section. Play2Win80 submitted pictures of some old Double Dragon slammers that were released in the \'90s and based on the Double Dragon cartoon. Go relive the glory days of pogs by checking those out. Thanks Play2Win!
It\'ll take me a while to get through my email and see what else needs to be posted. But I hope you enjoy the update. I\'ll see about getting some long-overdue reviews posted as well.
