The only way this would be remotely okay is if the parents went to some type of animal fortune teller who told them the younger son was going to be evil. I have heard that Scar was born under Taka, which could mean two things in Swahili: Noun-garbage, rubbish, or Verb-to want. Correct me if I'm wrong, though.
Not sure what Taka means but I heard that's just a popular fanfiction. Like how Simba had a son before he had Kiara and was killed by Zira. Although both stories do make sense. Taka was abused by his father and eventually received a scar from him and changed his name. The other one does make sense on why Simba was so protective of Kiara. But than again, who knows where these names came from. You just know your child is going to be evil if your last name is De Vil and you name it Cruella.
^Again, the only way "Cruella De Vil" would be remotely okay is if her parents went to some fortune teller who told them their daughter was going to be evil and cruel (pun intended). Lol.
Although, some people say her name was originally Ella but how horrible she was made her go by the name Cruella. Maybe that explains why she was born with a psychotic in Once Upon A Time lol.
They may have named him Scar but I think it is a name he probably choose it after receiving his scar. But with Scar being on the small side and a non-traditional lion color maybe his parents gave him a name to strike fear in others. A name to protect him a little. I still think that he probably choose the name after receiving his scar and being rebellious against the name his parents gave him.
Considering a lot of fictional characters have oddly appropriate names, it's all good. Personally, when I was a kid, I thought his so-called "scar" was a birth mark or a marking on his fur, and that he'd been named after that. It tends to be more widely accepted in the fandom that "Scar" is just a nickname that he wears proudly, following the assumption that he named himself that after he'd received his scar (exactly how he received it varies depending on the person, fanfic, etc.).
