Cinderella is open to trying new things and wants to go out to the ball and experience life whereas Tiana doesn't seem to have a spirit of adventure at all outside of her entrepreneurial endeavors.

I find Tiana as adventurous in her own space - she got so excited when she was dreaming about the place when describing to her mother, or after Mama Odie was done singing.

Tiana has less of the spirit of adventure. She only wants her restaurant, and she doesn't want to dance with Naveen, and turns up her nose at poetry. Cindy wants to actually get out and do things, and the ball gives her that chance.
