Both of those princesses have goals and are motivated to pursue those girls no matter what obstacles stand in their way and being motivated to achieve your goals is a good quality

All princesses have set goals and motivations, and I don't think that Tiana is particular relatable. What I like about Rapunzel and Mulan (not tiana, who is in my eyes more like the Renaissance princesses), is, that the goal they want to reach is not necessarily the place they end up in. Ariel, Belle, Jasmine and Pocahontas want mooooooore and that's exactly what they get - Ariel the life on land, Belle a shitload of books and people who understand her obsession with them, Jasmine a man who shows her the worlds, Pocahontas new experiences - and Tiana wants her restaurant, and that's exactly what she gets, with Naveen and some new friends as bonus. Mulan thinks that she want to rescue her father, but realizes later that she also wanted to be worth something. And Rapunzel wants to see the lights, but finds the truth about Mother Gothel. That's much more interesting in my eyes.

Though sometimes kinda boring. Both concerns too much on dream, even the dreams of Louis, Ray, Thugs... Then, the main characters' dreams turn to their lovers.

Remember Tiana says: "My dream wouldn't be complete without you in it" and Rapunzel says: "You're my new dream"?

The main male characters' dreams are also mentioned. Who knows about Eric's dream, John's dream, Shang's dream? You can say Eric wants true love, John wants to be with Pocahontas, or Shang wants to be like his father, but you just assume. Those dreams are never mentioned clearly in the movie.

Beauty and the Beast more focuses on "the power of love" and "don't look from outward appearance" or Aladdin more focuses "be yourself" or "freedom". In the Little Mermaid, who cares for Aquata's dream, Arista's dream, or Flounder's dream....?
