The only thing he knew about her is that she's mental enough to not see a problem with treating a prince's palace like some kind of rose-currency hotel. Even if she hadn't been hagly, between him being very young and a prince, and her seeming as sane as a shaken up bag of bats, there's a totally reasonable security issue there (on the subject, why was the prince even the one to answer the door and have to deal with her request anyway? What kind of young prince answers random knocks on his palace door himself? No wonder he was apparently so pissy, his servants and guards sucked).

I think in his position I'd have been more likely to have her comfortably escorted to the nearest hotel. If she wouldn't do that I think the sweetest offer she'd get from me is a room under guard for the night, in case she was dangerous crazy. I wouldn't have left her out in the cold, but I'm not gonna lie, I also wouldn't be getting myself a rep as the royal whose house is happily open to the public crazies.

i would never let a stranger in my house. especially a sketch old woman who could potentially either steal from me or murder me or my lovable servants!

Yeah if I was rich, I would buy a hotel room for her or something, but I would never let a stranger into my home, no matter what they looked like.
