Anneliese van der Pol: Yes, I think Anneliese is a better Belle than Susan Egan. Why? Well, Susan is wonderful and the second best but lets face it, when people hear her sing any of the Beauty and the Beast songs, they just hear Meg from Hercules. I know that she was Belle before she was Meg but it’s hard to imagine her as Belle when I just keep hearing Megara. With Anneliese, she absolutely became the character and never once did I think of Chelsea from That’s So Raven when she performs as Belle. Plus, she has the best voice of all of the actresses that have played Belle! It’s so powerful and strong but also full of emotion and richness. Her acting was flawless as Belle as well and she did very well at bringing that emotion to the character. She can play so much more than just a comedic ditz like Chelsea. She’s incredibly versatile!

Toni Braxton: First of all, I want to make one thing PERFECTLY CLEAR! There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with hiring a black woman to play Belle in a Broadway show. I mean, Broadway does that a lot because the stage can be more forgiving with race bending. Besides, the story is about a prince that turns into a beast and magical talking objects. I don’t see how having a black woman as Belle would be a problem. However, Toni Braxton was a terrible choice for Belle! I mean, her voice is beautiful but it doesn’t suit the style of the music or Belle’s voice. Her voice is more suited for pop and jazz, not traditional Broadway music. They even had to change the style of the music arrangement just so it would suit her voice. If you have to change it that much, that should tell you that you hired the wrong actress. Her diction is also very poor. Her acting is definitely what kills this casting the most because she doesn’t try to channel Belle. It’s just Toni playing Toni. She’s singing it like she would with one of her own songs and wasn’t doing any real acting at all. They should’ve cast Audra McDonald instead of Toni in my opinion.

Isn't it funny how you hate Toni Braxton and Zendaya but claim that you have nothing against the color of your skin as if your first instinct is that people will believe you are a racist? Methinks there is a pattern here.

@missbrandy Me thinks that you need to mind your own business instead of trying to troll people. Besides, didn't I also say that they should've cast Audra McDonald instead of Toni, who is also a black woman? Or did you just choose to ignore that along with my description with legit reasons of why she isn't suited for the role? You truly are a troll if you only pay attention to things that you think you can use to cause trouble but also ignore everything else because of your single digit IQ.

@BB2010 Well, you're half right. I've posted two similar polls before. One with my two favorite Belle's (Anneliese and Susan Egan) and the other being of my two LEAST favorite Belle's (Toni and Christy Carlson Romano). This one is asking which everyone agreed with more, Anneliese van der Pol being the best Belle or Toni Braxton being the worst. But I can see how you'd get confused because there were worded very similarly, though are still asking different questions.

^thank you! that's what it was! well it's not like I'd be bashing you for putting up a poll twice when, like i said, a lot of people do that. I know I've put up a lot of polls comparing the princess movies with live action versions and if we were all to get mad at somebody for putting up the same poll twice then this spot wouldn't be getting a lot of activity :P
