*gasp* I don't really prefer one of the other. I do really look up to hand drawn animation, as it's just done with so much care and expertise, but ultimately the emotions and details that are able to be shown in CGI is just superior.
I'd be lying if I said that I hated the CG but I really like how much care goes into Hand drawn... not that it doesn't take as much care for CG but i appreciate it in hand drawn more and the colors seem warmer to me there too.
Hand-drawn looks the most beautiful to me (when it's done well). CG can have some amazing backgrounds but I don't like the look of the characters as much.
I don't like one or another more or less. Both being something new to the table, and the animation type neve and never will be a factor of what I want to watch. There could have been room for both.
CG is more advanced, and it has stunning backgrounds, but I'd have to agree with JungleQueen13. I think hand-drawn is gorgeous. I don't dislike cgi anymore, but it doesn't compare to hand-drawn in my opinion.
BY FAR! I sort of wish CG was never invented. I think everything looks prettier and more real in hand-drawn animation. I quite enjoy the absence of extreme detail and the fact that the characters can have gorgeous hair, for instance, that's only composed by a few lines instead of thousands ones.
