this movie rocks!

I love it but I kind of have mixed feelings about it. I love the songs, the animation, the characters (except for Gaston, the bimbettes, Lefou, Beast, and Belle), the romance, and the score. However the heroine is bland, boring and undeveloped, the hero is a jacka**, the villain is lame, it forcus's too much on romance and nothing more, there's no adventure, some moments are way too over the top and soap opera like, and I feel like while the main characters are a great couple they don't have any development as characters. I much prefer the sequels because it has better character development between the two main characters, Belle's more interesting, flawed and realistic, the Beast feels more realistically developed, the lame villain isn't in the movie, and the sad and emotional moments are real and not fake soap opera like.

It's a really great movie, and while I have some problems with it (all of which I've mentioned before) they don't overshadow what it great about this movie.

I get what you are saying KataraLover but I don't know, even though belle and the beast may be undeveloped, They aren't THAT undeveloped. besides, for some reason, I still love belle. By the way, gaston was meant to be lame and stupid. A lot of Villians such as Captain Hook are meant to be lame and stupid. I can understand what you are saying, but I think that the characters aren't as undeveloped as you make it sound.
