It wasn't just for Eric. She wanted to be human WAY before she saw Eric.

Thank you KataraLover!!! It seem like people don't get that and they think she transformed just for him, but it had always been her dream!

Eric was just the final push she needed to really want to be a human!

I don't like your wording, but i think she should've definitely followed her dream.

I always encourage people to follow their dreams but I don't believe she should've sacrificed so much for it. It's like Tiana kissing a frog, taking the easy way out is often not the right way. I always say Ariel just made a mistake and is a great character. But I don't think she made the right decision.

^^ But you wouldn't have it any other way, right? You see, she's trying to change her own species... her father wouldn't agree, and there's no other choice. Also, if you were her and that was the only option...then what your saying isn't valid. If there's no other option you can recommend, then you either quit or take the risk. Even if it is huge.

Life's not perfect, not everything will go your way. You should follow your dreams but be happy with what you have. Patience is a virtue, don't sacrifice everything for your dreams. Plus, you could be sure of what you want in life but then when it happens, you realize that's not it.

She was a child and instead of thinking her father was against her she should have instead have thought about it from his point of view and not been so selfish...She was still a minor and living under her fathers rules, but if she had just waited till she was an adult and could live on her own she should have followed his rules and been more respectful...When she was an actual Adult then she could have had a calm adult conversation with him and maybe he would have listened to her then....A 16 yr old is not an Adult and can not be expected to be able to make rational and proper decisions (some can I suppose but she was not one of them) I was a more responsible 16 yr old then some but I still respected and followed my Parents rules...(at that age I was more focused on working, saving money, and trying to pass in School...Boys,love,dating,and running around getting into trouble was not really my thing...I was happy sitting at home reading when I was not working or in School)..My main dream at that time was Passing High School and going to College...also I had a dream of saving up my Paychecks and buying Contacts or have Laser eye surgery one day...
