Disabled DPs

zikkiforever Have we ever saw a princess with glasses? A princess on the heavier side(not obese)? Forget disabled,coloured and LGBT disney haven't even got little issues in the princess. Will they ever make the big step? We're only just getting single princesses! Disney should have a disney princess with little problems and work they're way up to bigger issues. I would like a princess who is coloured(not just Tiana), a heavier princess(not obese), a princess with glasses, a princess who can't sing at first, a disabled one, one with head scarves etc, but how long will disney take to give in to people demands. They are aimed at kids, but they need to bring everyday issues into the movies! Take no offense to what I just said. That is all IMO. I wish disney would bring up important issues up. 1 coloured princess won't do, sure they are all form different countries but Poca and Mulan aren't really that coloured. Kids need to learn this stuff, not in year 6 or whenever. It's too late then, they made up their minds on their beliefs. mhs1025 Whoever made this photo should be ashamed. I find this offensive. It's like they're making fun of disabled people. (Don't get mad, I'm just stating my opinion.)

324anna @mhs1025 how do you find that offensive? The creator just needed to express how he felt about having a disabled princess in the line up. I understand that some people may not like the idea of a disabled princess, but this picture is nothing but offensive. They're making fun of disabled people by making him cartoons? How?

AudreyFreak We already have plenty of Disney heroines who aren't white, and race and disabilities should never be compared to a sexual lifestyle. I don't even think race should be compared to a disability either. I also don't see what this has to do with society's beliefs. Society if anything often forgets about the disabled. but let's be real: kids aren't going to beg their moms to buy them a disabled princess doll. We had a Barbie like that in the 90s and she wasn't very successful. kids want the "best" and the coolest toys.
