Flynn Rider: This is the story of how I died, but don't worry this actually a pretty "fun" story and the truth is... It isn't even mine. This is the story of a girl named Rapunzel, and it starts with the sun. Now, once upon a time, a single drop of sunlight fell from the Heavens. And from this small drop of sun grew a magic golden flower. It has the ability to heal the sick and injured. Oh, 你 see that old woman over there? 你 might wanna remember her. She's kinda important. Well, centuries past and a hop, skip and a 船, 小船 ride away... there grew a kingdom. The kingdom was ruled 由 the beloved 皇后乐队 and king. And the queen, well, she was about to have a baby. And she got sick, really sick, and she was running out of time. That's when people usually start to look for a miracle...or in case, the magic golden flower. Ah I told 你 she'd be important, 你 see instead of sharing the Sun's gift this woman, Mother Gothel, hoarded its healing power to keep her self young for hundreds of years and all she had to do was sing a special song. "Flower gleam and glow, let your powers shine. Make the clock reverse, bring back what once was mine, what once was mine." Alright, 你 get the chess, she sings to it she turns young. Creepy am I right? "We found it!" The magic of the golden 花 healed the queen. A healthy baby girl, a princess, was born. With beautiful golden hair. I'll give 你 a hint, that's Rapunzel. To celebrate her birth, the king and 皇后乐队 launched a flying lantern into the sky. For that moment, everything was perfect...and then that moment ended. Gothel broke into the castle, 偷了 the child and just like that- Gone. The kingdom searched and searched, but they could not find the princess. For deep with in the forest, in a hidden tower, Gothel raised the child as her own. Gothel had found her new magic flower. But this time she was determined to keep it hidden.
Rapunzel- "Why can't I go outside?"
Gothel- "The outside world is a dangerous place.
Filled with horrible selfish people. 你 must stay
hidden here, where you're safe. Do 你 understand flower?"
Rapunzel:"Yes mommy"
Flynn rider: But the walls of that tower could not hide everything. Each year, on her birthday, the King and 皇后乐队 released a thousand lanterns into the sky. In hope that one day, their 迷失 princess would return.

Rapunzel- Aha! Hmm, I guess pascals not hiding out here...... GOTCHA
Rapunzel: That's twenty two for me, how about twenty three out of forty five?
Rapunzel: Well, what do 你 wanna do?
Rapunzel: I like it in here and so do you!
Rapunzel: C'mon, it's not so bad
Rapunzel- Seven a.m. the usual morning line up
Start up the chores and sweep 'till the floors all clean
Polish and wax do laundry and mop and shine-up
Sweep again and 由 then it's like seven- fifth teen
And so I'll read a book 或者 maybe two 或者 three
I'll add a few new paintings to my gallery
I'll play 吉他 and knit and cook and basically
just wander when will my life begin?
Then after lunch it's puzzles and darts and baking
Paper mâché, a bit of ballet and chess
Potery, ventriloquy, candle making
Then I'll stretch maybe sketch take a climb
Sew a dress!
And I'll read the 图书 if I have time to spare
I'll paint the walls some 更多 I'm sure there's room somewhere
And then I'll brush and brush and brush and brush my hair
Stuck in the same place I've always been
And I'll keep wandering and wandering and wandering and wandering
When will my life begin?
Tomorrow night Lights will appear
Just like they do on my birthday each year
What is it like? Out there will they glow?
Now that I'm older, mother might just let me go

Rapunzel: It's time! I know, I know. Come on. Don't let her see you
Mother Gothel: Rapunzel. I'm not getting any younger down here

Mother Gothel: Oh! Rapunzel! How 你 manage to do it every single 日 without fail. It looks absolutely exhausting, darling

Rapunzel: that's the funny thing about birthdays, there kind of an annual thing. Mother, I'm turning eighteen and I wanted to ask, what I really want for this birthday. Actually what I wanted for quite a few birthdays.
Mother Gothel: Okay, Okay, Rapunzel please stop with the mumbling. 你 know how I feel about the mumbling. Blah blah blah blah blah. It's very annoying. I'm just teasing. You're adorable I 爱情 你 so much, darling.
Rapunzel: I want to see the floating lights!
Mother Gothel: what?
Rapunzel: Oh well, I was hoping 你 would take me to see the floating lights
Mother Gothel: Oh, 你 mean the stars.
Rapunzel: that's the thing. I've charted stars, and they're always constant. But these, they appear every 年 on my birthday mother, only on my birthday. And I can't help a feel like they're, they're meant for me. I need to see them mother, not just from my window but in person, I need to know what they are.
Mother Gothel: 你 want to go go outside, why Rapunzel
Mother Gothel: Look at you, as fragile as a flower. Still a little sapling, just a sprout. 你 know why we stay up in this tower.

Mother knows best, take it from 你 musmy. On your own, 你 won't survive. Sloppy under dressed, immature clumsy. Please, they'll eat 你 up alive. Gullible, naive, positively grubby. Ditzy and a bit, well, hmmm, vague. Plus I believe, gettin' kind of chubby. I'm just saying 'cause I 爱情 you. Mother understands mothers here to help you. All I have is one Request. Rapunzel?

What can be said? This is a hilarious battle that poor 花木兰 started that resulted in a big pile up at the end. But it's not a serious battle, nor is it significant to the movie in any way. It's just a fun little fight.

This really shouldn't come to anybody's surprise. Throughout most of the film Shang believes that 花木兰 is actually a man. I don't doubt for one 秒 that they don't 爱情 and respect each other, but we don't get to see any romance between them (not including the sequel). They never dance, never serenade each other with a romantic song.
