So many times on this site I have talked about why I think Maleficent is a bad villain and I have tried explaining once (Swanpride remembers this) but I ended up using tons of bad arguments and I didn't word it properly so now I want to try it again. If 你 have any disagreements, I would 爱情 to 辩论 about this in the 评论 so feel free to state your opinions.
What I consider a good villian is not all about cool posing 或者 evil laughs. It's not all about how evil they seem 由 the way that they act 或者 how many people they get to fear of them. To me, it's all about the ruthlessness, the realims, tactics, and the way they set a theme into a villian. Maleficent's concept was an interesting concept. Maleficent is a symbol of all evil. Maleficent has no care of any being, basically a satanic type villain.
The way that they portrayed this into the storyline though did not quite exactly make sense though. Maleficent arrives at a party and decides to strike fear into people because "she was not wanted". To get revenge and prove to them to do what she orders, she casts a spell on Aurora and that on her sixteenth birthday she will prick her finger into a spindle and die.
During this scene, how she was 表演 during her appearance seems quite artificial and makes her appear as a cliche type villain. Their wasn't a single thing about her that made her unique. Yes, she was quite interesting, but not very much on the unique side. 更多 of one of those villains that 你 would think of when 你 think of a cliche story.
She appears during that scene and the first thing that comes out of her mouth is..... An evil laugh, of course! Not only that, but she starts giving her evil laugh way too many times during the scene to be realistic in any way, shape, 或者 form.
The 下一个 thing is, if 迪士尼 wanted to make an interesting rounded villain, they could have made her shades of grey rather then all a dark character. The other option would be to portray this symbol in a better way, but they didn't. They kept her cliche. It's not like Shan Yu, he was an action based character and his role in the movie was made up 由 his actions rather then his dialogue.
Now Maleficent is not horrendous at playing her role as a villain. She is bad (I will get to that later), but not as bad as some other villians. The main thing that get's me about Maleficent is the way she was done.
下一个 thing, she has bad motives. Why would the devil want to come to a christening? This makes absolutely no sense! Why would the devil want to do that, why? People say this shows 更多 realism in the fact that she is a quite evil symbol, but she wasn't 给 a backstory 或者 anything to give us more.
I get it, she was evil and all, but quite artificially evil. A very flat and boring symbol who is made up of very basic and small amount of traits. Not developed at all and not very rounded either. She doesn't have much thought put into her. How easy is it to think of a dark and evil character? She needs to have some kind of perspective 或者 something shown of her in the movie. She is made up of basic traits and is nothing much.
And really, the only reason why people really like her is because of her whole theme. Like just as it was mentioned above, people are so focused on her evilness and her whole theme of green and devil 颜色 they don't pay attention to anything regarding her depth.
Maleficent is of course super powerful but take a 秒 to think, imagine if Maleficent didn't have her powers. Would her character be the same? No. It would not. Which is of course reasonable, but my main point is, people think Maleficent has a real character but she doesn't. Her powers take up her character and it distracts everyone from her herself. Her power is the thing that is moving her throughout the movie and without it she is nothing. She never had a chance for us to see her make a big decision like we did for Shan Yu, we never got to see if she was 《勇敢传说》 或者 anything because we can't thanks to her power. Her power is the thing that is making her seem like this great character but really she isn't. Without her power she is nothing. Shan Yu on the other hand is smart, brave, calm, adaptable, ruthless and we got to see that alot rather then having his strength take over the film.

Yes, A Russian Princess!
We definitely need a Russian princess in the line-up, in this story, there are 更多 than 1 princess! So, since Natasha is the main character, she might be added alongside Princess Maria and Princess Elena despite that Natasha is only a countess.
The Story Is Very Long-Winded
Okay, So the story is 分裂, 拆分 in 4 parts of the book. It will be to long winded, unless 迪士尼 is bold enough to shorten certain parts of the story as long as it does not omit out certain important and prominent part of the story.
Time for Imperial Russia?
So, are 你 ready for Disney's very own Russian princess?
1) Aishwarya Rai (Miss World 1994)
She won the Miss Photogenic Award and the Miss World 标题 back in 1994, she is a very pretty 宝莱坞 actress in her own rights after winning the 标题 and I have to say that she ages gracefully!
2) Priyanka Chopra (Miss World 2000)
She is another possible choice for an Indian princess, I would not be surprise if they choice her to voice her and base her looks on a princess too!
3) Sunidhi Chauhan (Elsa's Hindi Voice)
She was the voice of Elsa in the Hindi dub for Frozen, she also has a very pretty look and will definitely be good for an Indian princess.
Be Bollywood!
So these 3 choices are my personal favourites, do 你 have any suggestions?
1. Normal dress
The films original outfit is a 粉, 粉色 dress consisting of a light 粉, 粉色 top, darker 短裙, 裙子 with flowers, light 粉, 粉色 sleeves and a sort of corsette she wears. The dress is a mixture ofor Auroras forest outfit and snow whites formal dress. It has a beautiful princess look and basic as well. 8/10
2.Wedding dress
Marrying Flynn is something any girl would want to do, so 你 wearing a wedding dress is a definite. It's nothing special though a white dress, a tiara same as any average wedding. I know it's from 魔发奇缘 forever after so may not count but I thought I would add an extra dress just to fill 更多 文章 space. 5/10
下一个 up is Medreia from Brave. I am not a 粉丝 of her to be honest. She is quite mean at times but she does have costumes to discuss so that will be next, In the mean time 评论 below and see 你 soon bye.
