They thought I couldn’t handle it, I suppose.
I have worked so hard for this dream.
This hurts me so bad I want to scream.
What’s worse is I feel like I let my Father down.
He always wanted to open a restaurant in this town.
People will never get to taste his amazing recipes,
And that really upsets me.
I have worked so hard that I have missed out so much;
Spending time with friends, going out dancing and such.
I don’t want to be a waitress anymore,
I want to be a chef, not stuck taking orders and doing mundane chores.
It just doesn’t seem fair,
Because I was almost there.

He took me on a magical flight.
We flew around under the stars,
We could do anything; the night was ours.
I fell for him right there on that magic carpet.
I know this is a feeling I will never forget.
I finally found a handsome Prince.
Now everything in my life makes sense.
With him is where I belong.
I know what I’m feeling isn’t wrong.
I want to be with him for always.
When I’m with him I’m in a daze.
My future is beginning to unfurl,
All because he introduced me to a whole new world.
