Why Is Davy Jones angry in the Pirates of the Carribbean Dead Man's Chest and At World's End?

Tia Dalma explains this in her big scene in DMC:

In less vague terms, he fell in 爱情 with Calypso, the sea goddess, who charged him with the duty of ferrying souls to the 下一个 world. Every ten years he could come on land for one 日 to be with her, but ten years later, she was nowhere to be seen.
