I remember visiting this website once...
It was called Daniel Radcliffe Wants to Play Robin in 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice'
Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+
Harry Potter franchise for nearly a decade, Daniel Radcliffe has taken on a number of much different genres, from indie horror (The Woman in Black) to period dramas (Kill Your Darlings) and even a romantic comedy (the upcoming What If). During a recent interview with Buzzfeed, the actor expressed his desire to delve into the superhero world, revealing he wants to play Robin alongside Ben Affleck\'s Batman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Here\'s what the actor had to say, when asked if he would consider joining another franchise.
"Batman. If they reboot that again I\'ll do that too. It\'s happening, isn\'t it? With Ben Affleck. I could be Robin, I\'m perfect."
Of course, production is already under way on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, under the direction of Zack Snyder, but since this adventure sets up the highly-anticipated Justice League, it\'s possible that Robin could be showing up in that movie.
If he does eventually sign on to play Robin, it wouldn\'t be the first time that an actor\'s statement to the press has lead to actually landing a role. Channing Tatum revealed in several interviews that he really wants to play Gambit, before producer Lauren Shuler Donner confirmed last month that the actor is in talks to play the Cajun mutant.
Do you think Daniel Radcliffe is a perfect fit to play Robin in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice or Justice League? Chime in with your thoughts below.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice comes to theaters May 6th, 2016 and stars Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne, Gal Gadot, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons. The film is directed by Zack Snyder.

& We\'ll get that sequel after BvS comes out just like Captain America
Dude you have a huge ego. You argue you\'re opinion even when their are huge facts against it. It\'s like you can\'t take being wrong about anything. You\'re so afraid of being viewed upon as foolish to the point that you make yourself look even more foolish. @thedude1
a published, broadcast, or recorded work that continues the story or develops the theme of an earlier one.
Lmao omg, forget it dude. I don\'t even know what point you\'re trying to defend. It\'s been confirmed by KEVIN SMITH a very close of friend BEN AFFLECK that this isn\'t a direct sequel to Mos. You know how The Avengers 2 won\'t be a direct sequel to CA : The Winter Soldier, the sequel for that will be in 2016. See how that works?
@ObiWanShinobi By definition it is a sequel to Man of Steel. Having the Batman name first means nothing. Remember when the name was first announced, word is the Batman name was first because a defendant\'s name is second, in this case Superman.
@rjh094 Nicely said bro could you please tell @thedude1 that.
This isn\'t a sequel to Man of Steel. This is a launching pad for the DCU. MoS 2 comes out in 2018, I\'d say. But I promise you this isn\'t a Superman sequel. I thought that was already established weeks ago. For f*ck sakes \'BATMAN\' is the first word in the title not to mention \'Dawn of Justice\'.
\'Batman and Robin\' is the most iconic duo when it comes to comics. I would love to see an edgy/modern take on the boy wonder. Batman hasn\'t been "solo" in the comics for several years. He\'s more interesting with a team too (Nightwing, Robin, Batgirl, Red Hood, etc.)
As Kevin Smith suggested... this isn\'t a direct sequel to Man of Steel. This film is a combination of Superman\'s and Batman\'s "worlds" and prequel to Justice League.
As a character I have never liked Robin, it\'s possible that it comes from the 60\'s Batman show thou I am open to see a better version of him. Emily Blunt as Catwoman- sounds better than the last one.
I would like to see a Nightwing solo film amongst quite a number of human superheroes.
DC has two superheroes I like the most Superman and Batman. The rest I\'m not so keen on.
@ObiWanShinobi Nolan doesn\'t have me brainwashed. Not sure why you even said that. BvS is a sequel to Man of Steel, and all the signs point to this first Phase being mostly about Superman(his villians and so on). Which is why I have a problem with Robin coming is right now.
@ObiWanShinobi The other thing...the problem with alluding to something or someone is that it creates an expectation that down the road may never be delivered on. To simply mention the name would have people looking for the character feeling hyped and by the time the new Batman movie gets underway the studio may have decided to move away from the idea of featuring the character. That\'s also another reason why I agree with you that he has to be made tangible and recognizable to the eye for all those who take interest in Batman\'s world. Robin doesn\'t ever have to be a huge role but big enough that his presence becomes a solid staple if we\'re dealing with a true DC Cinematic Universe and world that Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman can coexist.
@ObiWanShinobi I do agree. I\'d much rather have a physical appearance of Robin/Nightwing in this film. It would be nice to see an opening Gotham scene something similar to what you were talking about and then he goes to Wayne manor only to discover that Bruce hadn\'t been there for a while and tracks him to Metropolis. It\'s enough to build a story that deals with them personally in a solo Batman film that follows this and Justice League. It could be something to put Robin/Nightwing in a position to become more involved in a Justice League film seeing that Batman will need all the help he can get when facing whatever impending threat. The possibilities are there.
Because I want to see Robin. He hasn\'t been on screen for nearly two decades. Time for an epic interpretation of him, f*ck that \'alluding\' sh*t. That\'d be lame. A Robin & Nightwing appearance would be sick. Yeah I suggested him in the Gotham scenes : I suggested him jumping across rooftops chasing Emily Blunt\'s Catwoman. Ahhh, so epic!
Why are you so opposed to the idea? Nolan has you guys brainwashed with the \'Solo-Batman\' bs. If you\'re a fan of the comics/graphic novels you\'d know that the Bat-Family is a crucial part of the Batman arc & should have a lively presence in this film since Zack is giving us an old & seasoned Caped Crusader, YOU FEEL ME? There\'s no way his allies won\'t help up at some capacity when he\'s going up against an alien who leveled an entire city. @thedude1
@ObiWanShinobi I understand his reasoning and I can\'t say he lays out invalid points. I\'m simply stating that waiting it out a bit couldn\'t hurt.
You suggested having him in the Gotham scenes. Why not simply allude that he is there, and just have him in a future film?
@ObiWanShinobi I had a thought though, i could see Tyler Posey as Nightwing too.
@thedude1 read @mieko-siede \'s comment man, he explained it perfectly. You just have to look at the bigger picture.
If Dan does get to be Robin then he might be on it for the long hall. Like what he and his pals did when Harry Potter was still being made. 8 films is a long time.
It would be nice to see Daniel take on Robin for at least 8 films.
@ObiWanShinobi I feel like, Dawn of Justice is a film that can set a new precedent in these sort of comic book genre movies. It\'s not a sequel to Man of Steel but it doesn\'t play as one characters story but more of a comic book storyline that can very well be the launching pad for many more beloved characters in the DCU. I don\'t see this as adding characters just for the sake of adding to the roster. Instead I see this as something to build upon for Batman down the road with whatever his own demons are and his relationships with the characters that are central to his life. This doesn\'t shift the scope to Batman but adds layer to his development having a character that had been poorly portrayed in the 90\'s brought back to the big screen as a potential mainstay as Robin/Nightwing is a big part of not only Batman\'s story but the DCU as a whole. If the character was added to the film, no matter who will portray him, I doubt it would be enough to be a distraction from the main plot of the film but more of another addition that can play more into the heart of Batman and why he\'s so opposed to Superman in the first place.
This is a movie that boils down to one simple thing, quality over quantity. It doesn\'t matter how many characters are in the film...if it isn\'t balanced then it falls apart at the seams. If the storytelling and vision falls short of this large scale concept then the whole DCU and what they are trying to achieve unravels. I\'m sure that more than us, the fans as well as the general audience, the execs at Warner as well as DC are fully aware of this. It\'s part of the reason something like this is coming off so bold. It\'s go big or go home at this point. Another reason why production and everything else had been pushed back so as not to rush something that needs to be handled with such care and precision. As detailed as Man of Steel was we could expect nothing less from this as this will be handled with kit gloves for sure. These people, Snyder, Johns and the rest aren\'t taking this opportunity for granted. Just look at this as those Marvel One Shots were handled but expanded. This isn\'t a sequel or prequel but a prelude that will set new standards at least for DC if not the entire genre.
@mieko-siede what\'s your opinion on @thedude1 \'s comment?
Yeah, but they\'re not just adding characters just to add them. This is our first time seeing Batman in this universe so they have to establish his side of things more. He didn\'t get a 2 hour solo movie like Supes did before this flick. Having Robin won\'t DRASTICALLY alter the balance of the film. Superman\'s allies have already been established & will be in this. (Lois, Perry, Martha). Not to mention Lex Luthor, Supes most popular villian is playing the main antagonist. I\'m sure the inclusion of Robin at 10-20 minutes at the most, won\'t in any way make it seem like a Batman \'film\'. They\'re introducing Batman\'s allies now : NW, Alfred, Robin.
The simple fact is you don\'t want him in the movie. @thedude1
Yeah, why not at this point, right? I mean, what\'s one more big star and character to this blockbuster that\'s squeezing more into it than humanly possible in the attempt to create Spaceballs 2: The Search for More Money in the process?
@ObiWanShinobi Terrio is a fantastic writer, and I\'m really glad he took over for the overrated David Goyer. However, while I do agree if anyone can write all these characters nicely, it is Terrio, but adding characters just to add them is not needed. I still feel if Robin is really wanted in this DCCU, he can easily be added in the next Batman film. Adding Robin in this film would make it feel much more like a Batman film.
@ObiWanShinobi I\'ll let you know...and I wasn\'t saying that in regard to anything you\'d said about an over abundance of characters, I was actually agreeing with what you had to say in response to a comment about it shared with you.
Tell me what you think of the clip. & DofP abundance of characters wasn\'t what I had an issue with. It was one of the few things I think they executed right.
Totally agree w/ everything else you said though. @mieko-siede
@ObiWanShinobi And I\'ll check that clip out in the link you posted.
@ObiWanShinobi When I spoke of the accent I was thinking some form of a Rhode Island, Jersey/New York kind of beefy accent that can be construed as someone intimidating. But as I said in my comment before, stranger things have happened. We don\'t know that he doesn\'t have the looks or the chops until he proves himself. I wasn\'t promoting the idea of him as Robin/Nightwing but I\'ve been proven wrong on so many occasions judging a book by the cover that I\'m open to the idea. The track record, especially for Nolan and Snyder cast movies has been remarkable in terms of finding the actors with the right balance. They see it in them before we do.
When people talk about this film being overcrowded they seem to forget that we had an Avengers movie a couple years ago that they seem to love and defend to the death. You brought up X-Men, which I thought was just okay. What is the Justice League if not an ensemble film full of heroes from the DCU? As you said, I don\'t fear the film being crowded. What it truly comes down to is impeccable writing and great pacing throughout. I don\'t really have any doubts when it comes to this or the next batch of films coming from the WB/DC house.
That\'s why they\'re bringing in Chris Terrio to polish up Goyer\'s script. He\'s a fantastic writer.
Introduce Robin in here, then have the major character development stuff in the solo film. Know what I mean? @thedude1
