Always thought that, but after this episode when Damon said "this is the most selfish thing i've said in my life", i realised how NOT selfish Damon is... Oh, if i were Elena.. *imagining*

I agree!! Damon saying that made it not selfish :D. And We know the Stefan would never do this. He would never let Elena go, because as we see now he still wants her even though them being to gether is a huge risk! "If you love them, let them go. If they come back, it's meant to be." (or something like that, i dont know the ACTUAL quote) I feel like that's what Damon was thinking... And Of course (for me) Elena is going to go back to him. They can't stay away from eachother long.

YES!! He loves her so much that he doesn't force her to do anything!! NOT LIKE STEFAN who puts her in danger for himself AND do you guys remember when he forced her to listen to him right after he told her that he was a vampire?!

And Stefan did not agree to breaking-up with Elena after Jenna got stabbed BECAUSE of their relationship. A very selfish moment of Stefan's. Like Roxxi_luv-Vamps says, he would never let Elena go, despite the warnings Katherine gave.

Neither are selfish and both are selfish.

It's hard to say. Stefan can be selfish in the way that he doesn't want to let Elena go, whereas Damon is able to let her go. But Stefan also holds so many selfless qualities that Damon doesn't. Something that can annoy me is that people kind of forget that Damon isn't perfect, he CAN be very selfish, but can also be very selfless. Just like Stefan.

Also, do you think we could tone down on the Stefan hate? I mean, I love delena, but I am a fan of Stefan, and I am sure that is the case for a lot of people. Just because we are fans of delena, doesn't mean we HAVE to hate Stefan.

When elena broke up with Stefan he didn't understand, when he said he'll leave so she could be safe he stayed and a lot more... Damon was probably selfis in the beggining but he changed so much..<3

What Damon did proves how Non-selfish he is, and shows that he does deserve to be with Elena. <3

I don't think that there is anyone else who can love Elena like Damon does!He proved that she brings out the best of him!He showed to be better from him brother!
