This is under 'opinion' so please don't send any hate, it's just a though I had.

I have read various explainations both on this site and others about things antis point out as plot holes. (Ex: Renessme, Imprinting, Vampire Transformation, ect.) And I think that it's great that some people do think it through and don't just take it because it is what was written. What I don't understand is why 你 should have too.

In my mind, when an 作者 creates a story with a new 或者 different breed of creature they should explain it atleast to some degree.

I'm not saying she needs to explain every little thing, but could she explain it as simply as she could if she didn't want to bore people with details?Now, maybe she did and I just don't remeber, it has been a long time since I read them. But from what I remember in Breaking Dawn she refrences an incubus, creating the oxymoron virgin incubus.

Here is the dictionary definition of incubus:

an imaginary demon 或者 evil spirit supposed to descend upon sleeping persons, especially one fabled to have sexual intercourse with women during their sleep.

Now, if I'm wrong please explain it in a comment, but I don't think that they were speaking a metaphor. Now if she was refrencing Edward 由 sayin gthis it makes no since. 吸血鬼 and incubus are two diffrenet mythical creatures.

Another point I don't understand is how imprinting works. Is it based on attraction 或者 genetics?

Because gentically speaking I don't think a shifter and a half-vampire would breed full shifters; and if they did and eventually their family line turned into shifters again wouldn't they feel the need to harm themselves because they could smell the vampire in them?

And if it's based on animalistic attraction why would a shifter feel anamalisticly drawn to a creature that's race disgust him in every way?

Again, I'm not trying to hate. I just don't understand this because it was never explained (or I don't remember).

cassie-1-2-3 Edward is not an Incubus. The Cullens were reading online and simply read a legend about the Incubus, that is all. This makes sense, does it not? Sense they used the real world internet Onot the vampire internet), and the read worls internet has articles on the Incubus. As foe Stephenie Meyer (her website is a really really really really good resource. She has FAQs and everything. Visiting it would be a wise decision if you want to talk about "research" all the time), she said she came across the incubis legend and was inspired. It was not her intention to create an incubus, it was her intention to create vampires who could reproduce, an idea that popped into her head while reading about the incubus. It was theorized by Carlisle that Jacob was drawn to Renesmee because they had the same number of chromosomes. There's also the idea that sense Renesmee is the opposite of her parents in the gifted department, she doesn't repulse the shape shifters. Her bites aren't even toxic to them. Her scent, according to Bella, is not strongly human or vampire.

RonGetYourWand But the thing is, there have been legends of vampires reproducing before so there would be no need for incubus. What would be the point of talking about them in the story if they aren't the same creatures? That would be like if she compared her shifters to wood nymphs, they have absolutely nothing in common. How would it be possible for her not to smell 'strongly vampire'? In the books they can smell each other long after they were there and still wrinkle their noses in disgust, which shows it's potent.

cassie-1-2-3 There is no incubis in Twilight. They were just talking bout the different stories they read about while researching. I think it was a segway to the South American legends Alice snuck away to investigate. It would be a little too convenient for the South American legend to be the ONLY legend they came across, and that be the outcome. I don't understand what you expect from Twilight, is it possible to be satisfied. First, you're bothered that all the unnecessary detailes, which are not vital to the plot, aren't in the books, then you're bothered that a character mentioned a word that wasn't vital to the plot. Renesmee's scent is both human and vampire. It's not more human than vampire, and it's not more vampire than human. You mention the nose wrinkling. That was their reaction to vampires. Not human/vampires.

RonGetYourWand As I stated in the article, I haven't read it in awhile and only remembered incubus where mentioned, now that you explain it was during research it makes more sense, though I still don't understand how virgin incubus stems from that. And yes, I would be able to be satisfied with Twilight if things were explained more clearly by the author and not by the fans. I also consider imprinting a major part of the plot, mostly in Breaking Dawn. With the scent aspect, wouldn't the vampire scent be more potent too them because of the shifters senses. My point is they would be more used to normal people scent because they were breed to scent, spot, and kill them.

cassie-1-2-3 There is no virgin incubus. I'm only explaining what happened in the books coupled with basic common sense. Stephenie shouldn't have to explain how to have common sense. I don't see how that makes sense. Renesmee is not a human and a vampire standing next to each other. When you mix two scents, you get a new scent.

Dragonclaws Actually, vampires have functioned in ways similar to incubi. Rapists and other strange sexual encounters no one wants to account for have been blamed on corpses rising from the grave. They'd dig up the recently deceased and see blood at the mouth and an apparent erection due to how the decomposition process works. It's not a stretch to say in a vampire novel that the incubus legend was inspired by vampires the way a good vampire legend was inspired by a specific character (Carlisle).

Twilight Affects So Many things

I was following an online series called the Hillywood Show. It was two girls 表演 in Johnny Depp roles such as Sweeney Todd,Ed Wood,Edward Scissorhands.Here is a link of one of their link.This is their link
But after the release of Twilight they have stopped doing the Johnny Depp impression which made them famous they started doing twilight video's but even worse . Its Twilight 音乐 Video's. So that means cheesy 音乐 and annoying dancing and skimpy outfits.
It reminded me of how twilight is no longer a personal thing no matter where we go we will see twilight dangled in our faces in merchandise,...

It is Hazardous see New Moon in The Cinema

- Yes i know this is extremely late but i just remebered what i was going to write :)

I was brought with my mam and sister to new moon on the 20th of November. Personally i was'nt really bothered about going 或者 not so i went so at least i would be able to say what i think about it.
The movie started at 7 and and at 6:20 there was at least 60 people waiting in the cinema most of them girls from the ages of about 10 to 55 many people at the back of the line were pushing to the front without mercy, squishing the others.
(Oh i must remind ye that i live in ireland and at the moment only girls from...
