*ahem* during the HM arc, Ichigo never responded to Orihime's reiatsu flares (ie. Sheild) but he constantly appear worried whenever Rukia did something. Ichigo saved Rukia because she was "someone very special" to him, but for Orihime, he simply states, "she's a friend. That's why I must save her." Kubo would never had made his whole series Yin and Yang with Ichigo (black-Bankai) and Rukia (white-the most beautiful shikai/zanpakuto in all the soul society) with no intentions of them getting together. Ichigo insisted on saving Rukia himself while everyone wanted to save Orihime. Ichigo choked Yourichi because she saved him and not Rukia, and had no troubles easily hoisting Rukia up and throwing her at Renji, while in HM, he asked if it'd be breaking the Soul Society's rules (something he didn't care for when he saved Rukia) and thought that Orihime "didn't weigh as much as he thought" when he picked her up! Lmao! As well...Rukia openly stated that Ichigo was "the man in my heart", while Orihime couldn't kiss him while she was invisible and he was unconcious/asleep. Did I mention that Rukia boosted Ichigo's morale into defeating his inner Hollow, while Orihime nearly wet herself the first time she saw it. Plus Isshin treats Rukia as quote "my third daughter" and Ichigo is much comfortable talking with Rukia than a forced conversation with Orihime.

Don't get me wrong, I like Orihime (before she defeated her first Hollow and became a sook) but her and Ichigo? Never. Ichigo and Rukia are Soul Reapers and deserve to be together since they changed each others worlds. If anything, Ulquiorra should rise from the dead and get with Orihime.

tite kubo said that the entire reasons behind his story was about yin and yang. he said the title was originally called Snipe, (because everyone had guns instead of zanpakutos, but rukia had a scythe) but changed it to Bleach, to give it a "white name" upon a "black background", like yin and yang. he gave ichigo a jetblack blade and rukia a purewhite blade. he made ichigo a personality that goes with the flow rule breaker, and made rukia a sterner, law obeying person to contridict him.
should they not get together it would degrade tite kubo's whole resoning of yin and yang. tell me, why would it be that having created two characters perfectly in sync and carry out the entire meaning of bleach's yin and yang, to have ichigo wind up with orihime? huh?
it would be pointless and subjugate the entirity of what tite kubo acted upon for bleach anyways.

ky-chan contradiciton can also be a bad thing...Yin and Yang really isn't a mantle of romance but concerns to completely different essences that can combine to make peace....you could say those two fight evil to make peace by being partners in battle....To be honest the only chemistry ichigo has with Rukia is just fighting..that doesn't really make them compatible

have you EVER been in love? love takes many forms, one may be blushing and studdering (like orihime) but with rukia, it's denying the feelings. my bf and i were always fighting before we got together just like rukia and ichigo. we annoyed and tormented each other and everyone thought we must've been siblings to act that way...but five months later it had strenghtened our bond and we've been together ever since.
and yes, you can go back and re-read. ichigo said that rukia was someone special to him. he tells hanataro and ganju in the sewers. he tells kisuke that orihime is a friend.
isshin says that he thinks of rukia like that, because he's comfortable with her being with ichigo, and yuzu and karin think so too. what ichigo has with tatsuki and renji has with rukia is called "close friendship". they grew up together, but there was an episode where renji thinks of rukia as a little sister he has to protect. say what you want about kubo, but i just wrote what he printed in the special edition hardcover inside jacket of the limited edition volume 1 of bleach and bleach's back story.
i respect him, and its solid proof that orihime and ichigo do not convey yin and yang.
