Hot, cheeky and provocative. That’s how the actors of the US hit 显示 “Gossip Girl” are. “We don’t even have that much in common”, Blake says of her character Serena 面包车, 范 der Woodsen. “She’s from the New Yorker Upper East Side, I’m from a hicktown in California. I have never been a big party girl!”
Words that 你 would never hear from a real “Gossip Girl”. The life of the young, pretty actors is especially about partying, flirts and fashion. They wear the newest clothes and set trends. For Blake that’s pretty convenient. “I really like fashion and I get to meet many amazing designers through the show.” She’s even fonder of the shooting location. “I’ve discovered New York for me, it’s so energetic and creative here.”
Despite all the advantages the hype around the 显示 is gradually affecting Blake. “I pretty much don’t experience the life of an it-girl, I work 16 to 18 hours a 日 with four weeks of holidays a year! And afterwards I work on 电影院 for another three weeks!” But the 21-year-old is tough. “I’m a workaholic”, she admits. “I’m still young enough to power through.”
It’s also practical that she can connect 爱情 and job. She loves her castmate Penn Badgley, 22, but likes to enjoy her happiness quietly. “I’m not one of those people that ‘hooks themself onto somebody’. I like to evolve in a relationship. That’s why I like to take slow things”, the Californian girl emphasizes this and reveals: “I was and am a very shy girl actually. I had my first boyfriend with 17 and since then there hasn’t been much happening. In a relationship 你 constantly have to communicate with each other to make it work.
The other part of her private life is also down-to-earth. “I get up early in the morning to take a walk in Central Park 或者 stroll through Manhattan, where I live”, Blake tells us and admits her true passion then. “I 爱情 to bake and eat cupcakes! My biggest hobby is buying crazy baking dishes.” With that she spoils her friend during an evening in front of the PS游戏机 that often only ends during the morning hours. She thinks: “Who says 你 have to sleep much?”
Blake actually never wanted to lead a stressful actor life. “My brothers works in the business and sent me to a casting. I already had my first main role then.”, Blake marvels and is sure: “”Gossip Girl”’s the best thing that has happened to me!”
