There was nothing wrong with R/R. They loved each other throughout the seasons of F.R.I.E.N.D.S they just had many ups and downs, a lot like Chuck/Blair and yet are always there for one another.
We want them to be long term, just not to have to hold off getting married or whatever until the very end like RR. Maybe more Monica and Chandler than Ross and Rachel...although having a baby like RR did, I'd take that! lol!
Oh, I want them to be an endgame couple, but I don't want to have the same journey as RR. CB are a completely different couple and C and B are completely different indiviuals to R and R.
I really don't see the point of this comparison. Almost every show has at least one long-term couple, so that's no reason for comparisons (although I don't see R/R as long-term). Besides that, they are 2 completely different couples.
Unless what they meant is that CB are gonna be on and off in the same way R/R were. That would be annoying.
Hey, R/R were great and as "AngelusB" wrote they loved each other through all seasons. Long-term couple plus they ended up together. And the way they were on- off was cute not annoying so i'm so into this!
Andrianna, CB are great too and boring is definitely not the most suitable word to describe them! I'd prefer epic!

This quote is not comparing them to RR in the sense that they are the same couple and they'll go through their love in the same way. They are comparing them to RR in the sense that they will ALWAYS come back to each other and they are DEFINITELY endgame. That's what they mean and there's no doubt that I LOVE that idea. :D It means that no matter what CB go through, they will always come back to each other! I don't know why you all think that's a bad thing. That is a GREAT thing to hear!
Of course CB will be completely different from RR. "Friends" and "Gossip Girl" are two COMPLETELY different shows! BUT the fact that they compared them in a sense that they will always be each other's firsts and will never get over each other makes this comparison AWESOME!
