While I also very much doubt that this would happen, I would love it if they did make a sequel that stayed true to the first movie's atmosphere and animation style.

If that did hypothetically happen though (and I'm well aware that it won't!), it probably would not appeal to the younger generation as it is very different to animation nowadays, which is very hyperactive and even the more serious animated movies are far more comedy driven than the oldies like Bambi. I'd love to see one of the mainstream animation studios tackle a fully hand-drawn movie again someday soon, if only one of them had the guts to do so!

I would actually be interested to see Disney attempt to make this as an animated film anyhow, although admittedly I probably would not have very high hopes for it staying true to the original. I'm not generall big on sequels, but this one has actual source material so I'd be interested to see how they'd go about bringing it to the big screen.
