It was a cold summer morning in Nome Alaska when Nikki over heard his owner say something to a man in a suit and tie. What Nikki heard made him speechless. The man in the suit and tie talked about a 太空 program,
“We have had 动物 in 太空 before, but recently there has been competition in the 太空 run for their countries’ 太空 station. And ehh, having Balto and the other one, umm, Star, would bring us in a lot of publicity. We could get our 太空 station commissioned for sure.”
Nikki couldn’t quite understand everything they meant so he snuck out and went to go see Balto. But when Nikki got to Balto’s 船, 小船 nobody was there. Nikki wandered around and couldn’t find anybody, even Boris. For once, Nikki kept working, to find Balto. He decided to go to Star’s house to get Star. Nikki made the pleasant trek through Nome’s little town ally way, past the barber 商店 and the nick-nac store and he was a right turn from Star’s window. Star’s owner was out for the 日 so he was free to roam around.
“Hey, has youse heard anything about a 太空 project?” Nikki lazily said.
“No, for a change I haven’t heard much, especially with my shut-in owner”
“Well that is alright, but we need to find Balto to really find out anything”
So Nikki and 星, 星级 proceeded to Kaltag’s house.

Nikki and 星, 星级 made the jaunt back through town to Kaltag’s window. Nikki and 星, 星级 heard something, something they thought they would never hear. They climbed up a stack of wood covered 由 a tarp and tried to get Kaltag’s attention. But Kaltag was crying. 星, 星级 and Nikki jumped up onto Kaltag’s windowsill and listened to what he was ranting about.
“This is the most disappointing, the most sorrowful, the worst I’ve ever felt”
“Kaltag, what’s wrong,” 星, 星级 说 softly.
“What huh, Star! Nikki! What are 你 guys doing here, sneaking up on me?” Kaltag franticly said.
“Well, we just heard youse cryin’. What is wrong Kaltag?” 说 Nikki.
“I don’t want to talk about it.” 说 Kaltag.
“But Kaltag-“Star was about to say.
“Shhh, ask Kaltag what youse wanted to say.” 说 Nikki.
“Okay Kaltag, have 你 heard anything about a 太空 program?”
“No.”
“Oh, well would 你 like to come with us to find Balto?”
“No, I need some time to think this over.”
“Think what over Kaltag?”
“The most disappointing, worst, the most horrible, this is the worst situation I have ever been in-” Kaltag’s rant went, a little off beat.
“What’s wrong?”
Kaltag slammed the windowsill on Star’s head. 星, 星级 fell ten feet to the soft snow in a daze.
“He never fails to hit me where it hurts.” 星, 星级 grunted
“Now that, was odd.” Nikki 说 very, very confused.

星, 星级 and Nikki made their way to Jenna’s house. Rosie and Jenna were outside playing on a dog sled as if they were racing.
“Jenna!” 星, 星级 yelled.
“Oh, hi Star, Nikki”
“Do 你 know where Balto is?”
“Yes, actually he’s inside with my owner and a man in a suit and tie. About a week 以前 the same man in the suit and tie came 由 looking for Balto, no human knew where he was so I went and told him. Balto has been living with us for the past 5 days.”
“What about Boris and Stella?”
“Balto 说 they flew off on a vacation. Feel free to go in and see what’s up”
“Thanks.”
星, 星级 and Nikki walked up to the sliding glass door.
“I huz never figured out how to open dese doors, they are truly dog proof.” Nikki said.
星, 星级 jumped up on the door with his front paws and let out a yelp. This got the attention of the people inside. The man in the suit and tie kept talking to Jenna’s owner while Balto snuck to the door.
“Balto! We’ve been looking all over for you, where have 你 been?” 星, 星级 said, barely able to hold it in.
“It is a lot to explain but when I get out I’ll tell 你 guys everything, it involves all of you.” Balto 说 very quickly.
“Hey Balto, come over here, we are not done with 你 yet.” The man in a suit and tie said.
“Gotta go.”
“Well now, that was stranger than Kaltag’s crying, I don’t know what going on.” 说 Nikki.
星, 星级 and Nikki were just leaving when they heard something from the man in the suit and tie.
“Now has he been neutered?”
“Well no, he is almost wild, is it necessary?” Rosie’s father said, feeling compassion for Balto.
“Well they all have to be neutered.”
“Ahhh! No! Never!” Balto yelled.
This yelled was the most ear tearing shriek that spoke with a feeling of fear that Rosie’s father understood, but had almost no time to react to, because within 秒 Balto had crashed through they’re door. They tried to get Balto back but nothing would make him stop running. Balto turned a corner smashing into Star. 星, 星级 was in a daze, Nikki had a thousand mile stare, just thinking about what the man in the suit and tie had said. Balto got up breathing heavily.
“What about Jenna? Her too? No, they can’t do that, we have pups on the way! Did 你 guys hear that?” Balto said.
“Did deys say that we were going to lose our dog hood?” Nikki said.
“Yes!”
“So that’s how 你 open the doors, hahaha,” 星, 星级 laughed.
“Okay Balto, youse has to tell us what is going on.”
Nikki grabbed Balto 由 the 毛皮 of his neck and dragged him to the boiler room. Balto was shaking and muttering things such as the scenario of never being the same. Nikki was shocked of the poetic fear that came from Balto’s thoughts out to words. Nikki propped Balto up on a sack of flour and said, “Now, Balto, it is okay, youse will be 安全 here, but youse will need to tell us everything youse know, okay?”
“Okay,” Balto wiped away the little blood from his cuts that he sustained from the glass door, “alright. A week 以前 I was in my 船, 小船 asleep when men in black coats came and got a choke 领, 衣领 on me. I was dazed enough when I felt a shooting pain down my back. I turned around and snapped at the man with a needle in my back. I jumped onto the first man in front of me ripped a piece of his throat out, I jumped around so quickly that the men couldn’t see me, they began firing their guns. They hit each other with their bullets, but I kept going, I brutally ripped out chucks of skin. I was complete 狼 at that moment, I ran out of the boat, and kept running. When I was 20 yard from the 船, 小船 the ice gave in and I feel through. The moment the cold water hit me, I became numb for a second, I then began to get tired. Men much like the ones I had mauled started running for me. They pulled me from the water. My eyes were heavy and I gave into the sleepiness.”
“Dat der sounds a lot like a book I read, Call a da Nature?” Nikki said.
“ Actually, I most likely feel asleep when the man stuck me with that needle, what I just 说 might have been a dream, yes actually.” Balto said.
“So, what else had happened?”
“Okay, the 下一个 day, I assume, Jenna was sleeping 下一个 to me as I woke up, and Rosie was watching TV. I asked Jenna what the hell happened, and she told me that some men came to get me from my 船, 小船 because of something special. ‘They’re in there right now, 你 can try to listen in,’ she said. I went to the 厨房 and heard a conversation about me: ‘what we want do is have Balto and all the other 超能英雄 go into 太空 with two men, and they will be active for about a week in 太空 and come down. If we do this, the world would realize that we are ready to have a 太空 station built with a contribution from all the other countries. If we don't make such an initiative we might have to pay for Russia’s 太空 station.’ Jenna’s owner 说 in response to the man’s proposal,
‘Well, I can speak for Jenna and Balto when I say, let them fly to space, but I expect 你 would pay us, right?’
‘Well, if we win, it could easily be in the millions, but it’s all in the contract. One problem, Balto is wild, we will have to do some testing. ’
‘Okay, just be soft, Balto is shy of humans.’
‘Right, I’ll get back to 你 in a bit.’
After that, they took me to a vet, they put needles and things in me and gave disgusting pills, but after that they treated me like a king. It was perfect timing because I was about to, never mind, the point is we have to go into space.”

    Nikki was in awe.
“I can’t believe that we get to go into space.” 星, 星级 stupidly said.
“Shut up Star!” 说 Balto. “It means we will have to be neutered! I have to get Kodi”
“No, okay, okay, okay I got it, all wes has to do is convince da humans dat we want our dog hood,” Nikki assured everybody.
“Boy, I can’t wait to float in space! 嘿 Nikki, I wonder if 你 will float, 或者 stick to the ground. HAHAHA, because your FAT!” 星, 星级 yelled enthusiastically.
“This situation really doesn’t bother youse does it?”
“Do 你 even have balls to lose?” 说 Balto.
“Flip im’ over”
Nikki jumped on on 星, 星级 with full force.
“Ouch Nikki, you’re hurting me. Get off!”
“It’s the weight rule, the heavier one dominates, 或者 I'm just fat!”
Balto spread Star’s legs apart.
“His story checks out.” Balto said.
Balto sat back in a slump. Nikki angrily bit 星, 星级 on the arm drawing blood.
“Ahhhhh! Nikki! A joke for a deep flesh wound! That hurts so bad!”
“Yes, I think that means his story checks out,” Nikki 说 spitting 毛皮 from his mouth.
“Nikki,” Balto started, “Why did 你 do that, now he’s crying and bleeding and, oh, (to Star) come on, there is some whisky in one of these crates.”
Balto helped 星, 星级 limp to the barrels of whiskey and the brutally broke the 密封 letting the dark potent mixture spill all over the floor. He then grabbed Star’s arm and dragged it under the whisky stinging Star’s arm very badly. 星, 星级 yelped and yelped, drawing much attention.
Nikki warned, “Youse must bes careful about the noise Star!”
“Nikki, it hurts,” 星, 星级 whimpered.
As Balto was ‘cauterizing’ Star’s wound he and Nikki talked over what they would do.
“I say wes go back and try to give them a hint wes do not, want to be neutered,”
“I think you’re right but- Wait, I hear someone coming.” But before Balto could finish a man came in, they thought they were done for, but he had Jenna and let her go. She ran to Balto and pleased him not to run, she began licking his healing cuts and told him what happened after he ran away.
“After 你 left they came 围裙 an agreement and they will let 你 guys keep-“
“Our Dog Hood! Oh Jenna, youse da best,” Nikki said.
“So 你 guys get to go into 太空 tomorrow, all of us!”

After the ordeal, Balto, Nikki, Star, Kaltag, Jenna, Kodi, Steele, and Dixie boarded a new model beech craft, on a leash that, that brought them from snowy Nome to sunny Juneau. After they de-boarded the beech craft, they boarded a Boeing 747-400 series, the nicest out right now. Instead of forcing the 狗 to go in the separate cargo space, they got to sit in the first class seats. They refueled in Seattle before heading to Edwards Air Force Base in California. After a trek and 22hour trip, they had reached their secret destination, about an 小时 from EAFB.

    The team met up with two nice men, one was named Andrew, and the other Alex. They were in blue jump suits, and as the 狗 walked in, they ran towards the men mainly because they smelled teats behind the mens’ hands. It was the first impression the men had to become 老友记 with the dogs, and they did a good job. Nikki felt extra feelings for the men, because he loved 培根 flavor treats. They loaded the 狗 into a customized Globe Master. They were expecting another long flight but when they got into the plane there were no seats, just padded walls.
“Is dis it, are wes going into space?”
“I wouldn’t think so,” Kodi replied to Nikki.
Then all the sudden a red light began to blink, then it went solid green and all the 狗 lifted into the air.
“HAHAHA! THIS IS AWESOME!!! I’M FLOATING!” 星, 星级 yelled.
“Wow this is space!” Balto exclaimed.
“That was so easy, I didn’t feel a thing,” Kodi said. Steele was enjoying the ride most of all. He was floating around like a pro.
“Hey, hehe! Tag! Can’t catch me! Up here, down there, everywh-“ right as Steele was about to finish he felt heavy again.
“Hey, look, I can actually hold Nikki,” 星, 星级 said.
“I’m going to-“ Nikki said. As everybody was about to say their things they all fell to the ground.
“I don’t think that was space,” Jenna said.
“And I think that 你 are right,” Steele 说 as the Globe Master begun to line its self up for landing.
“Maybe the gravity will come on again,” 星, 星级 said.
“Youse mean go off,” Nikki said.
“I hope so, that was fun,” Balto said. But within 分钟 the plane had touched down. The 狗 were unloaded and brought to a bus, which took them to the 太空 shuttle. 星, 星级 was the most in awe. The group was shocked and the bus took them closer and closer to the shuttle. When the bus dropped them off at a futuristic elevator that brought them to the control room. Andrew and Alex were getting dressed up in their 太空 《金装律师》 while they were talking to a man who looked like a general.
“The 狗 did very well from what we saw in the simulated anti gravity test. They actually enjoyed it! They won’t be getting motion sickness.” Andrew said.
“Yes, and they respond to human language very well.” 说 Alex. The general look-alike
Liked what he heard and briefed them once more:
“Once 你 low orbit 你 can unstrap the dogs, and get the video feed back to us right away. For nights 你 will go into the separate compartment. Have fun, and Andrew, 你 will be handling manual re-entry.”
“Great,” “Got it,” the men 说 together.

“1 分钟 30 秒 UNTIL LAUNCH,” The automated voice said.
“I don’t want to do this anymore,” 星, 星级 said.
“No backing out now Star” Balto corrected Star.
“Dese straps are so tight.” Nikki said.
“1 分钟 UNTIL LAUNCH,” The computer rang.
“You good, dogs?” Asked Alex. And to their surprise, the 狗 all barked back.
“They really do understand English,”
“30 秒 UNTIL LAUNCH,”
“I 爱情 你 Alex,”
“Kissy Kiss,” Alex replied laughing.
“20 UNTIL LAUNCH,”
“Do 你 think that we will-“ 星, 星级 was about to say when Kaltag interrupted him.
“Shut up Star, just shut up!”
“10….9…..8…..7” the shuttles engines roared and at 1 the shuttle accelerated from 1 to seventy in eight 秒 then seventy to 140 in 4 秒 then onward the shuttle was already at 5,000ft. Everyone was pushed into their seats.
In about five 分钟 they reached a low orbit and Andrew and Alex unstrapped the dogs, but as Andrew and Alex were untying the 狗 there was a big crash and explosion and the two 太空 men were knocked into the safety airlock chamber, which separated. They were forced to begin early re-entry. But the 狗 were stuck on the rest of the 太空 shuttle. Balto managed to gnaw his way through the straps, but what will they do next…….



I got very bored 写作 this story when the men found Balto, 星, 星级 and Nikki. I got so bored that I left the ending open for anybody to finish, so left your interesting and creative endings below. LOL. But seriously if 你 feel it, write your best ending from any point and send it to me and I'll post it in my article.
