A Sailor Senshi (セーラー戦士 Sērā Senshi?) appears as a type of heroine in the metaseries known as Sailor Moon. The name comes from sailor fuku, a type of school uniform, and senshi, which can mean "soldier" 或者 "warrior". Naoko Takeuchi, the 日本漫画 artist who originated the series, coined the term 由 fusing English and Japanese elements, and 粉丝 speaking each language have adopted it.
