They were too late! The Conquerors were already inside the gate. Pakku, Katara, and the waterbenders were fighting against them and defending their tribe. Kaya, Iro, Hiru and Toph ran inside(except for Appa who was outside near the gate). Kaya ran towards her mother and grandfather.
"Mom, what are 你 doing?" asked Kaya breathless.
"We're defending our tribe that's what were doing!" responded Katara.
Katara sent a massive wave, but Ming pressed a button and a shield made of iron protecting them and then the man shot massive amounts of arrows to everyone. This made the waterbenders confused...

The leader was a woman; she had pale white skin, pitch black hair(half of the hair was a side ponytail, and the rest of the hair was down), blood red lips, and black eyes that matched a night sky.
