I appreciate Bradley's openness about his frustration about how honestly childish and simple-minded the scripts were to refuse to develop Arthur's character. Arthur got so much screen time, whereas one of my biggest criticisms of the was how little focus Gwen / Angel got, how little screen time she got... when really her character developed the most despite most of it not being shown directly, but more symbolically.. for example, her established close relationship and long history with almost all of the knights. Angel would always be saying how great the script was. Although I know nothing about script writing myself, I feel like the script left a lot to be desired, and yet those were the words that she had catch-phrased stored in her mind to be used during interviews to sincerely and authentically praise the show and while I feel like the scripts were often deeply flawed I have SUCH incredible praise for the show because even when the lines where cheesy and ridiculous there is something just indescribable about the show that shines through and I think that's what she really meant to say, between the lines, by saying the scripts were good.
