azwarrior Having everything all "sunny & roses" can lead to staleness. Giving them some or alot of angst will only solidify them as a couple. Don't get me wrong, my shipper heart is sure to be breaking BUT knowing they are END GAME will make it bearable ; )

vegalily Yes, I'm really looking forward to see A/G's relationship tested and eventually solidified by whatever trials they'll face. Just like each of Arthur's experiences as a warrior have made him into the great warrior he is now, the same will be true for A/G as a couple (and also as King & Queen).

BradAngeleyes I want it to be that Gwen decides they cannot be together tells him so and to see the fear and pain in Arthur's eyes and on his face when she tells him. I want to see him a broken man when he realises that he will lose the only person he loves and who makes his life worth living, who makes his heart race or skip a beat when he sees her or is near her. Even Merlin can't cheer him up. Obviously it all comes good in the end. And, I'm looking forward to the make-up afterwards, there must be a make-up, maybe involving kissing shirt, bare feet, even bare chest ;) There, I've written a mini fanfic LOL

leona21 I do believe the "breaks Gwen's heart" may be due to the dubious decision makings of Arthur. I mean it would make him no better than his father in her eyes and this would really hurt her. I mean she sacrificed her own feelings to care for a man who practically destroyed her life and now his son may be turning into his father hence the title of this episode. Not sure but that is my theory. The "blacksmiths daughter" comment could be fron his uncle as he witnesses Guinevere giving Arthur counsel perhaps. He definately doesn't want her steering Arthur in the right direction. I think it would not be in Arthur's character to dump her but hey, this is Merlin we are talking about so who knows.
