The new main characters are Alice (girl) and Eugeo (guy).

I hope it's good!

They also 说 they might even make a season 4!

NagisaFurukawa- @Clarissa2015 so is there gonna be the characters from Season 1 and 2 in Sword Art Online Season 3? Or is it just gonna be a whole new Anime with the new characters in it? I hope Kirito,Asuna ans the others stay in Sword Art Online Season 3 and for the SAO Movie as well. @Deathding what do you mean no? Sword Art Online Season 3 is gonna happen weather you like it or not.
TheAnimeQueen Well @NagisaFurukawa- they said they are gonna be in it but like in GGO they didn't appear that much. It's pretty much gonna be like that. So it's not a whole new story Kirito is going to be in it with Alice and Eugeo like he was with Sinon.
Tiger_gaming the light novel says that the new one is named "underworld" and yes kirito is there except for the others.... and yes its like the story of GGO except that they use swords except for guns ye know?

heartfillia I would rather they remake the whole anime series or make an anime...a good one....for sword art online progressive rather than sword art online itself. the anime was done poorly in my opinion and it has to be redone. because of it being poorly made, a lot of people out there hates or dislikes sword art online. they dont realize how good it (the light novel series) is. i recently bought the first and second book of sword art online progressive and also the secong book of sword art online aincrad which is the light novel series in which the anime was adapted from and sword art online progressive was like a million times better than the anime in my opinion. I say that they redo the whole anime itself, or make sword art online progressive series without any plot wholes or time skips. If they did do so, sword art online will really go up to my top 5 favourite anime list....I'm pretty sure
