Well Im an Anime/Manga enthusiast never considered myself an otaku and never will I 爱情 Anime/Manga As much as the 下一个 person 或者 maybe even 更多 but because of that I'm Going to Give 你 a Guide To what the word REALLY means.

Why Do They Take it The Wrong Way?
Often In 日本 society people who are consider otaku are often seen as people who can't face reality that have no life so they turn to fictional characters.
Calling Yourself An Otaku In 日本 Its Almost The Same As Asking For An Angry Mob Im Filipino btw . But I don't believe that theres a person in the world that loves 日本动漫 who only watches and reads 日本动漫 and 日本漫画 is not interested in anything else (social life,sports,economics,art,etc.)
