Has anyone ever wondered about how closely related Rozen Maiden and Konjiki no Gash 钟, 贝尔 are?

Rozen Maiden's about 玩偶 trying to become (pretty much) the fairest of them all and Gash 钟, 贝尔 is about little people named mamodos who try to become the King. Anyone else think they're similar?
