Ice King only likes Marceline as a friend/family member. (Although, Marceline isn't part of his family) The main reason is because of his 爱情 life, in which Princess Bubblegum told him that she'd only spend time with him if he was the last man in Ooo. So basically the person Ice King truly wants and cares about is Princess Bubblegum, not Marceline.

I'm sure you're referring to the episode "A Glitch is a Glitch". The 2D adventure time universe that we are 更多 accustomed to is completely different and independent from the 3D universe portrayed in this episode, so, to answer your question, the Ice King would never do such a thing. At least, not in the 2D universe. I hope this clarifies, rather than confuse.
